The Obama death ray being used on reporters in foreign countries who are trying to report on American war atrocities? I don't know man, I'm just asking questions.

Bro, I am just as concerned about this death ray technology as you are. We have to speak truth to power.
Seriously, when did you turn into such a poor man's a_skeleton_03?

It's really sad to watch you shill for the Feds so relentlessly these days.

http://www.bbc.com/autos/story/20130...king-gets-real
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...hacked-feature

look at these tinfoil sites like BBC acknowledging that hacking a car is entirely possible.

then we have a player with the means (CIA), the motive (snuffing out a damaging story) and the opportunity (access to the vehicle)

then we have a victim who dies within hours of alerting people that he is working on something big and dies in a manner that is completely contradictory to his normal behavior (he is a safe driver, a family man), yet he dies at 4 am by slamming into a tree at 100 mph

AND THEN HIS CAR FUCKING EXPLODES. When have you ever seen a car explode?

What would be the reason? Probably to damage the car's telemetry unit so that the attack can't be traced back to the hackers.

And then you got morons here herp derping about Obama Death Ray. I bet you guys thought that there were really WMDs in Iraq and that the US gov't never sponsored OBL in the 1980s.

I never said they couldn't hack cars, but he seems to me he was a bit paranoid at the time and thought he was being followed. To me that helps explains why he was speeding. For the explosion, if they had used an explosive, I would assume any competent investigator would be able to determine that from the wreckage.

You mean a competent investigator that happens to work for the government?

Yeah, its not like our government ever framed anyone or tried to discredit them:

Do you think every state and federal employee is willing to dismiss any morals they have and ignore the assassination of a citizen? Wait, the investigators are cops. Fuck.

Dude, he hit a tree at 100mph. Cars do catch fire in extremely violent collisions. I'm not disputing that the accident was caused by hacking, that's certainly possible and can be done without much evidence. But if they planted explosives to blow the car up, that would leave a trail.

If you're a reporter concerned about this kind of shit, make sure you drive a standard that doesn't have drive by wire steering. Problem solved. As far as I know there is no such thing as a "by wire" clutch or transmission/shifter.

We get it bro, you love the government and it can never do wrong.

No need to shit up every thread with it. Let others discuss the merits of the Hastings case.

The investigator is in on it. Of course.
Nah man, he's just a flunky. But once he realizes what happened -- well, what would you do? Speak up and get killswitched? Or would you stand very still and be very quiet hoping the the Elder Thing walking past decides you're not worth the effort?

The internet answer and the IRL answer are different, of course.

Still say sleeper agent. My shit is simple. That killswitch shit is just convoluted.

Bro, the killswitch is the answer. Sleeper agents don't blow themselves up. Yet we have a historical record of the Obamaray being used to murder reporters abroad.

Yeah, they catch fire extremely rarely and they never explode.

Which is what happened to Hastings' car, witnesses reported a fireball explosion right after impact.
