Oh cry me a river, whiny cry baby liberal. You can find injustice in every single age on mankind, show me an era in civilization that there was 0 social injustice. Also a firehose is shit compared to things like legally being able to kill slaves at will which existed <100 years prior,

there will never be a socially perfect society as long as people aren't physically exactly the same.

The 50's where peaceful and relatively prosperous for everyone in america even black people, maybe not indians.

Who has said that raising children isn't a noble goal?
There's so many articles I've read that start with something like "Can a woman have it all?" the impetus is always how to subvert the rest of your life to keep your career #1 so you can be "fulfilled" in life.

It always implies there is something wrong with being "just" a homemaker.

What are the social morals to learn from the closing paragraph? Money is god so persue it over what for 3 thousand+ years was seen as mans duty and purpose in life?
-
"Feminism has fizzled, its promise only half-fulfilled. This is the revelation of the moment, hashed and rehashed on blogs and talk shows, a cause of grief for some, fury for others. American women are better educated than they've ever been, better educated now than men, but they get distracted during their prime earning years by the urge to procreate.*

This article seems to sum it up decently"

individual women considering their own lives and careers, children have become a choice, rather than an inevitable milestone-and one that comes with more costs than benefits.

I said relatively, it wasn't great for them like white people, but you can't expect instant social acceptance, I sound harsh but I know life is harsh. They could have been born in Ethiopia and died from intestinal worms instead of using a second rate bathroom and gotten hosed, would that have been a better life even if it was more just? I'm sympathetic to the position of blacks in the 50's but to make it sound like it was like nazi germany for jews it was not.

I'm not proposing it should stay like that i'm just recognizing that it was better in the 1950's than the 1850's and however disappointed blacks where about their lives they where making progress socially and it was relatively better for them in the 1950's. The premise is that there is never 100% social justice anywhere in the world at any point in history, and for blacks in the 50's it was less awful from previous decades and trending upwards, blacks had the right to own property and vote ect and all kinds of shit they didn't have 100 years prior.

all that being said though they benefitted from the excess material and economic wealth(proportianally) of that age of america like everyone else.

Have you ever been personally close to a career woman?

Zhaun, yes. There are indefinite amounts of noble lifestyles that I wouldn't want to be.

He was Lumie Lite while Lumie was busy stocking up his bunker full of ramen noodle packs and chainmail armor for the lizard takeover in 2012. The dude is a self described Libertarian, which should technically mean he doesn't belong in a conservative thread anymore than he would a liberal circle jerk, but he is racist and sexists so here we are.....

She makes billboards and magazines for car dealerships, small business basically she worked for a guy as 1 person show for like 3 years until she put her foot down and they literally hired 3 people to take over jobs she was doing. I understand the personal freedom and money motive, However I can't reconcile and get it out of my head that say by the time she is ready to have children if she ever has them, the chance for autism of that child will be like 100 times more likely. There has to be something wrong with they way we setup our society when we jeopardize children like that for personal gain, especially when no man here can say they didn't have parent's who sacrificed so they could be alive. Sacrifice is a part of life and tangentially we probably should stop pretending the best way to live is to constantly please our senses, and live for today. We belong to something greater than ourselves and I think we have a duty to preserve it, in the least as a thankyou for every generation that towed the line previous to ourselves.

blame religion all you want for being irrational, but being irrationally purposeful has it's benefits as well. As a society I think if we are to rid ourselves of the superstitious aspects of religion we shouldn't be so hasty to think that religion is 100% bad and had no benefits whatsoever.
Just the fact that everyone in a society believes the same thing has it's benefits along with it's negatives. I personally believe there is no such thing as a purely good, or purely bad choice, There is a varying degree of positive and negative effects that come with every decision or every choice.
