For all the negative things people want to say about Coulter, she does understand math a lot better than her fellow conservatives. She called the presidential race correctly long before anyone else did, though she had to backpedal on her statement to tow the party line. And Hannity is an actual conservative, so therefore he may as well be a Democrat as far as Teabagger Nation feels. Its too bad, the GOP could use more pragmatic and centrist viewpoints like his.

Wow. I'm amazed that Coulter believes this much less would put it in print. It's pretty bad when Ann Coulter gets it and people who are supposedly more "moderate" or "centrist" or whatever label you want to use as a euphimism for "more sane and less shrill" don't.

It really does sadden me to think how great our nation could truly be if mankind spent more time working together and respecting each other rather than belittling everyone else for their ideas, but instead we are going in the opposite direction and are so divided and on the brink of collapse, yet people are still too stubborn to admit faults in their party and willing to accept or turn a blind eye to their own parties atrocities rather than admit possible flaws in their thinking. Blind faith or just plain ignorance or both. This stubbornness and lack of human decency and respect, and vitriol towards people with differing viewpoints that once made our nation great, is now going to be our ruin. United we stood divided we are now falling.

Anyways this turned out to be longer than I was going to bother writing, but I came into this just thread now for the first time, and I'm going right back out, because I refuse to waste my time being disrespected and trolled because of my opinions. And lastly, just to clarify, I am not ripping into our resident forum liberals because of their ideas, but rather their way of acting as seen above. Sayonara.

You know, I used to think that I would not have anything in common with die hard liberals either. I grew up pretty conservative, much to the dismay of my hippie parents. Despite over a decade in some very liberal universities, I remain pro-gun, pro-military, and anti-abortion. However, I have always been pro-secular government and pro-gay rights. But as I have gotten older and hopefully wiser, both far left and far right ideals have become absolutely ridiculous to me. I have accepted that our country has become an imperialist and surveillance state. Since I have started to pay attention to these developments, I find that I have a lot in common with people I used to think were too liberal to be rational. It turns out that only the wingnuts completely trust the government to not abuse the vast powers that it has begun to accumulate. I think the vast majority of people in this country are centrist, and are starting to develop a serious case of what used to be seen as paranoia, but now is healthy skepticism. Rational people from both left and right are rebelling against the erosion of our protections outlined in the Bill of Rights. We are all beginning to realize that certain elements of our government have overstepped their bounds, and no matter what services government should provide, they certainly should not be above the law.

For these reasons, I think we will begin to see less partisanship, because we now have a common enemy to unite against.
