I've been flying drones all over the fucking place for 4 days to document the flooding along the Walla Walla River. I was just up on Mill Creek near the watershed today and ran into two sheriffs that are out looking for looters that they're getting reports about. They told me to keep the drones away from a certain cluster of houses too, because there are "a bunch of hillbillies out there that were refusing to evacuate and were shooting at anyone that got close to their property. They threatened to shoot at the Army National Guard guys on Saturday, too". Tons of roads & bridges knocked out & people still stranded in a few different places. All over some flooding.
Yea, it wouldn't take much to launch us back into the early 1900s again.
Will not be getting an ar15 type semi. (Plus the good ones are banned in my state)( maybe a honey badger by Q)
I think its reasonable to have a month of water and 2 months of food at all times regardless of the situation.Just about every “prepper” channel has been going hard on stocking three months of the staple foods you eat regularly, based on potential panic buying and supply chain disruption. None of them seem concerned about the actual virus.
It's not even expensive. 55gallon blue water safe barrel with pump to change it every 5-6 months is $100. 2 months food per person runs like $600+ unless you do canned route of canned meat, chili, veggies, beans and so forth. 2nd option is better as you can just cycle it in with everyday cooking to keep it fresher. That reminds me, I got a 10lb can of pulled pork( GFS ) we bought in case Hilary won we need to eat.I think its reasonable to have a month of water and 2 months of food at all times regardless of the situation.
Past that, expanding your cache to include a year of dirt cheap food that will provided the minimum to live for a year, that is also not terribly expensive. Rice and beans are cheap as fuck and you can live a long time off just them.
No you get an ar15. That way you can easily service your rifle and use everyone else's mags.Get a Mini 14, for all purposes it is the same as an AR but mar00ns dont fuss about them because it's not an 'Assault Rifle'. Whatever the fuck that is. .223 /5.56 is going to be the most common ammo youll find laying around in the ashes after the pockyclypse.

If you're worried about what the state thinks about your choices in the apocalypse, you aren't gonna do well prepping.True enough. But we were talking about states that dont want you owning one. There are many metric tons of Minis floating around, hardly an obscure rifle. Many PDs have them in trunk when the 12 gauge on the dash isn't gonna do it.
Problem is mini 14s are considered assault weapons and banned like ARs are in communist states. Detachable "large" capacity magazine basically the universal definition of one to liberals.True enough. bottle cap storage.
I mean sure, but I think I'd rather be dead than eat 72 cans of vienna sausages.Picked up 72 cans of Vienna sausage from Amazon for $30. While technically only 8 days of calories, pretty sure I could stretch that a month with 40 cans of veggies like corn and peas. Food supply $50 a month good on shelf for 2-5 years. 2 cans of that + 1 can various veggy like say cream of corn would hit around 2200 sodium which is just outside my heart suggestion but pretty sure I hit over that many days because they fill every food wit that shit. Plus I could pick up some cheap pet can tops and use the cans for bottle cap storage.
I don't know. I think back to my AP days 15 miles 70lb pack up and down ridges. Pretty sure I once considered eating tree bark after a week on the trail.I mean sure, but I think I'd rather be dead than eat 72 cans of vienna sausages.
If you want quiet hunting for rabbits etc get a subsonic .22.
