Current garbage disposal started leaking, crawled under the cabinet to finally look at it tonight and it has a hole in the side of it. No idea how that happens. Rust? Anyways, I know what I'm doing this weekend now(this better not cut into my Fallout 4 time too badly)

My brother is a licensed master plumber. Last time he replaced my parents disposal I asked him how to keep one of them from breaking down. His instant answer was

"Don't use it".

It's apparently just a known thing among plumbers, them bitches break.

I'm not super handy, but I've replaced a toilet, and also a kitchen faucet, surely the disposal will be easier than either one of those projects(not that those were very hard)

Yeah, I did. It was one similar to this from LG. But it was like 1400 bucks back then so I returned it. I wound up using a 50" TV that I use as my monitor. Between Star Wars Battlefront coming out LOL and Diablo, I want a higher res monitor.

I tried. Called the plumber 3 hours later. No sink usage that day.

My disposal is leaking I think from where it connects with the sink. I was told maybe getting some plumbers putty? I know next to nothing about home repair

When i had a disposal (rental) i put a bowl and sponge underneath it. It just drips, it was made more apparent to me when i moved into my second rental and the cabinet was painted white and i started to notice brown drip stains on the bottom w/ that u bend.

Disposals are easy. They're mostly universal in how they connect to the sink so don't remove that part just yet. It's just a cam-lock collar. You'll see some nubbins under there to grab and twist with your hands but more than likely, a couple of taps with a hammer will get the collar moving. Be ready to catch the disposal and don't be under it when it's loose.

Goes on the same way. Hold up, align slots in collar and twist. Then reconnect plumbing lines. Good time to replace any steel traps with plastic.

They can also lead to clogged lines in your drainage system. People use them too much. They're for scraping a tiny bit of food waste off dishes, cutlery and so on. They shouldn't be used to dispose of large amounts of food waste. That shit's supposed to go in the garbage.

I don't see how people can play with those ultra wide monitors. You really miss the vertical when playing games especially FPS's.

You mean vertical pixels or inches? Probably a good idea to buy an ultrawide that's at least equivalent to your old monitor in both measurements.

Or do you mean your vision is distracted by looking at a wider picture that you don't notice things as much on the vertical margins?

You possibly didn't have something set up correctly. Nothing should have seemed stretched, if you were running the correct resolution on your programs. It almost sounds like you were taking a 1920x1080 resolution game/program and then just stretching it to fill the monitor.

Nothing should have looked "stretched", the additional resolution just allows you to see more, stuff that isn't even on the screen otherwise on a standard monitor.
