As he just explained in way more words than necessary, it's not so he can speed it's so he can speed and not get caught, while speeding. Which is enabled by the radar detector....

I bought this Sony 2.1 sound bar a few weeks ago. Pretty good sound for $300. One of the best features is the remote control pass-thru feature. If it blocks the remote receiver on your tv, it will pass the signal on behind the sound bar. From what I could tell, most sound bar's don't have that.

I've had a Q 120 for like a year now, love it. I will actually fire it up over my bigger grill if i'm just doing a couple chicken breasts or something for just myself.I was given a Weber Q 120 for camping. I am very excited to not wrestle with uncooperative weather or fires to get some hot food

when i was younger, i got a ton of speeding tickets, 1000s of dollars in fines paid on multiple occasions. i eventually got a radar detector, and it saved me a few tickets for sure. it also gave me one. i was speeding, not much over, it went off and i assumed i was in the 'no big deal' range of speeding. cop saw my detector and pulled out. as he was writing my ticket, he laughed that he loved giving people tickets that had them. i've been driving and seen a detector go from complete silence to full WTF a cop is right in front of you! I don't know if this is true, but some radars can do instant on. so if you're in light traffic, it might not save you and encourage the cop to not let you off.
i rarely to more than 10 over the limit anymore. once i usually have kids in the car and the toll roads in my area having a limit of 80 mph.
the idea that a detector using gps and social media data to improve accuracy to reduce false positives and know of potential speed traps is very tempting to get a new one again

I drive exactly 7 MPH over the limit at all times. 62 in a 55, 37 in a 30, 77 in a 70, whatever. I figure the vast majority of cops aren't going to pull you over if you aren't speeding by double-digits(unless you're doing something else stupid to go with it), and that leaves enough room for slight error. The 3 speeding tickets I received as a teenager were all for 11-12mph over the speed limit. Learned my lesson right there.
just fyi if you visit MA our highways run 65 mph typically, so that puts you in the middle lane. please remember this, left lane = 80 or gtfo. (i dont drive in the left lane)

this goes for every state.
I've had cops tell me they won't pull anyone over unless they are going more than 15 over the speed limit. I assume everyone is different.
I had a radar detector in high school and the two times I got pulled over with it, I just ripped it off the windshield quickly and threw it in my center console.
