oh in on thisRecommendations on an easy "automated" Dash Cam, per another certain thread?
yea if anyone gets a dash cam now, (i also prefer viofo) get a 2channel (front and rear) setup. my earliest viofo i had a front cam and used a separate cam for the rear, it was just annoying keeping 2 sims and power sources ready if needed.I've had the Viofo A129 Pro for a bit over 2 years, no complaints.
Bought both the Green Ghost and Red Skull.

well lets examine the rice first
are you using short grain rice? you can also use medium grain rice
i don't know what you have available in nazi land, but we'll just use these images
this is common medium grain rice
medium and short grain rice is more glutenous so it's stickier
if you really need help, you can augment the rice w/ 1/4 cup of sweet sticky rice
then lets look at technique, are you using a mat? if you are, are you using saran wrap?
if you really really suck at rolling, the sushi bazooka is actually pretty good
a rice cooker won't make the rice "stickier" it will make the rice fluffier and the rice version of "al dente"
of course i could just say buy a zoji and you'll get great results,
but it'll just cook it better than your pot (honestly zoji's do have a "sushi rice" setting, so it will be "better")
as long as you use medium/short grain rice, you'll be fine, cook it w/ a rice cooker, and you really can't go wrong (it will make it fluffier)
you know you have to season the rice for sushi?
a basic simple recipe is
rice vinegar
kombu
sugar
rice
this tiger one made really good white riceOk Lanx , despite search being broken I actually clicked a couple of pages back and found this post.
I'm looking for a rice cooker that isn't the top of the line but better than average, BUT I'm going to be using it mostly for brown rice. Yes, I know, but I'm not asian so I won't be disowned, it is better for me, and once you get used to it you don't really notice it. Is there a difference in ones that are awesome for brown rice vs. white, or am I still looking at the same ones?
Either way, are there any that you recommend under say $100?
Also, for being so expensive, that one shown above looks gaudy as fuck with those huge labeled buttons. It looks like something Corbin Dallas would have in his tiny apartment in The Fifth Element that he has to pay credits for each use or something.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks, I'll check it out! I've been reading reviews for quite awhile, and it seems like tons and tons are "pretty good" so it is tough to make a decision. It might come down to looks in the end, since mine will likely sit out as well (mostly due to lack of cabinet space). Not like I have much counter space to waste either, but I plan to make it a more important part of my meals so it will probably never get put away anyway.this tiger one made really good white rice
TIGER JBV-A10U 5.5-Cup (Uncooked) Micom Rice Cooker with Food Steamer Basket, White obvious before biden times it was way cheaper at 60bucks, but biden. imo it's actually made nicer than my zoji, at least for being useful. it has a handle, which you'd think is silly, but is great for picking up and putting away in a cupboard when youre done (i'm asian so my ricecooker is always out), this works w/ the cord which is retractable.
and then they give you a steaming insert that you can do meals on, you cook rice on the bottom, then put the insert on, and put veggies and even meat to steam.
and for you, it has a setting for brown rice
if you want ungaudy ones, koreans make a nicer, modern one, but i haven't used a korean one yet
i mean it could be worse, this used to be the style back in the 80sThanks, I'll check it out! Found this Zoji for what seems like a reasonable price all things considered, and the ratings are obviously through the roof. My only question is, if I'm doing meal prep for several days, is 3 cups going to be enough? I'm assuming that even 1 cup is a lot of rice for one person if I'm eating more than just rice, or am I wrong? Can't remember the last time I actually measured out rice.i mean it could be worse, this used to be the style back in the 80s
i mean i still have my super old zoji in that style, it was my first rice cooker.
i personally wouldn't buy a zoji unless it said made in japanFound this Zoji for what seems like a reasonable price all things considered, and the ratings are obviously through the roof. Yup. Listen to the chink. Anything not made in Japan is Chinese poison garbage.i personally wouldn't buy a zoji unless it said made in japan
i don't really see white ppl eating "that much" rice, a normal cup of rice for an asian is like 3 meals to a white dude.
Good eye! I did the 360 view thing and on the back it says Made in China. Fucking asians man!i personally wouldn't buy a zoji unless it said made in japan

Thanks for the heads up.
I went ahead and bought that Tiger one you showed earlier. The price was right, and even if it doesn't actually matter it has a dedicated button for brown rice, so good enough for me. Thanks again for your knowledge and assistance.the spot i showed you
is the spot where you'll see any zoji made in japan (of that style, there is a new 2024 style now), if it don't got it, it ain't jap
