Sorry hear. I love the monitor, first time in a long while I've bought a computer related product with absolutely no buyer's remorse. The extra width on D3 alone was worth it for me. Can fire cluster arrows from FAR away. It's backlight bleed unfortunately. Sitting straight on it's located in all 4 four corners pretty bad. When I say height, I mean the vertical resolution height of the monitor. I'm coming from a 30" for years, to a 48" TV (which the resolution was only 1080p), so I am REALLY missing the vertical. The monitor is sitting on a little box also. I was hoping that with me looking at the top of the monitor that would help. It doesn't. I can say this though. It is flat out GORGEOUS to game on.
Tera and LOL look amazing. BF4 I forgot how much a sharp monitor helps in the long distance situations. I wish I could get used to the size though.
I bought one of these a year and a half ago for my Step-Mom for Christmas. Worked great until a few months ago and the filter water thing went out on it. She still uses it with just the light and watering and it does fine.Just ordered this for my wife for her birthday:
Amazon.com : Miracle-Gro AeroGarden 7-Pod LED Indoor Garden with Gourmet Herb Seed Kit : Patio, Lawn Garden
Looking forward to having access to fresh herbs right in the kitchen. We grow some in our garden every year, but going outside and traipsing through a muddy garden to cut some as you need them is a PITA.
Hopefully this doesn't put me on some damn pot-growing watch list for buying a hydroponic grower, lol.
It does seem pricey, but have you bought fresh herbs at the grocery story lately? Holy shit. Maybe its because I'm in the middle of the country and it all probably has to be shipped in from California or Mexico or whatever, but I bought a small bundle of basil last month for some pasta sauce I was making, and it was like $7 for probably about 2 tablespoons of basil once it was chopped. Shit is CRAZY expensive, especially during the winter.Holy shit I just noticed that it's $160. It looks neat but those are some expensive herbs.
You have a point, I am probably still thinking in terms of when I was in California and you could get a bundle of Basil the size of your head for $3. When you start buying it in those little plastic containers it gets pretty retarded and you should probably just buy the paste or something instead. It does seem pricey, but have you bought fresh herbs at the grocery story lately? Yeah they have ones for planted tanks as well, which I assume would be good enough for herbs. But yeah definitely check the color temperature before buying. If not, there are other solutions out there in amazon land dedicated for horticulture. They even have 90W LED grow lights that screw into common light sockets. Or banks of LEDs rated at 100W+. Also there is florescents you can buy as well specifically made for growing shit. Just look up cheap grow lights.Careful, the ones made for aquariums aren't designed for plant growth. The spectrum they use is different than the fixtures designed for plants.
