You can buy leds and one of those cheap clip on work lights from a hardware store that'll get the job done. You don't need like sodium lamps to start out some veggies or store herbs in between winter.

Hah! Actually I'm phasing out all of our farming to put up more hay, but you make a good point. Part of the reason I'm doing it is that I'm not great at it and 90+% of the income on the place comes from the cows anyway but that is funny.

Do you sell your cows to the butcher? Or are you a dairy farmer? The BEST burger I have ever had was in Montana. I stayed at a ranch for a Fly Fishing Trip, it was all inclusive endless beer and food. I swear they killed that Cow just a few hours before I ate it, so fresh so amazing.

EDIT: found the pace I went. Like and hour SW of Great Falls.

I sell a few to people direct once a year but the vast majority I sell as calves when they are old enough to wean and they either go out on grass somewhere or to a feedlot. People do say our hamburger is better than what you get at the store though.
