Because they look pretty and I didn't want to pay more for shipping than the keys themselves, so the obvious answer was to buy more keys (and a cable and some really small anal beads).

But your keyboard doesn't even have Windows keys!

Nope, you stick them on the bottom of the keyboard switches and they should attenuate the bottoming out noise.

I'm no expert by any means, but the best "short" cigar I've ever had was an Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story. Used to smoke them a lot, but probably haven't had one in 5-6 years at least now. They used to be a little hard to find here locally back in the late 90s, but I'm sure they're all over the place now that you can buy them online(my friends and I used to spend half a day hunting for them in cigar shops around town 15 years ago)

This...

Fuente Short Stories are my go-to winter smoke as they are a nice quick smoke when it is below-freezing. Fuente is pretty much good at everything. They may not be the most risky in terms of their blends and don't generally like to try new and crazy things, but they are the most consistent and every blend they have is great.

I generally stay away from most "mild" smokes and usually do only medium, medium-full, or full body cigars. Mild cigars have never really done much for me. The only exception would be the Fuente Short Story 'Between the Lines' special blend. I could smoke one of those every second of every day.

EDIT: Just got done smoking a Camacho Triple Maduro about 30min ago and I feel like the world is spinning. Incredible cigar, but will lay you on your ass (or make you turn green and likely vomit if you are a cigar novice) if you are not prepared... I have not had food for 7 hours or so which was a very very stupid mistake to decide to smoke this. I should've known better, but damn did it sound good at the time.
***** But a very important hint that every cigar smoker (novice or regular) should know, always keep some food of nearly pure sugar with you. I keep a box of 'Pixie Stix' in the car and the house as nicotine really screws up your blood sugar levels. If you feel you are starting to get woozy, pound some type of sugar down ASAP (Pixie Stix, candy, or pure sugar on a spoon).

I am now craving one of these (La Flor Dominicana 'Digger'). 8.5 inches and 60 ring gauge of pure, flavorful double ligero... Maybe tomorrow....

Not a fan of Thompson Cigar. Just order from cigar international if you can. I buy short stories from them often. Thompson seems to be more in the email/calling scam business than cigars.

Just curious...if you buy a whole box of cigars, like pictured above, do you actually get that nice wooden box with them, or is that mainly just for display purposes in the picture, and what you actually get is some cheap cardboard box or something?

Because those wooden boxes are awesome.

You get the box. I generally use them for decoration or ashtrays. I use my Opus X box (without the lid) to hold my crystal decanter and glasses on my bar-stand. I have one box outside on my porch for my ashtray with cut out half-circles on top to hold a lit cigar (like a normal ashtray would). I have another small box in our guest bathroom with candles in it. They are great decoration pieces overall. Some are made from very good wood with nice grains.

I give them away or throw them away. Depending on the box you can get a divider made out of spanish cedar out of it you can toss in your humidor.

gents, why are you still smoking that crap? arturo fuente is horrible, even for dominican cigars. At least smoke something like macanudo if you arent smoking cuban. But is there really any reason (price withstanding) not to be smoking cuban cigars now?

Because 90% of cuba cigars are fake including "cubans" you buy in cuba and areas where they were never illegal.

Macanudo really? They are a well made cigar but have almost no flavor to them at all.

Its not difficult to find a reputable distributor of cuban cigars if you look for it. In my neck of the woods I use the pacific cigar company (The hobby company started by Sir David Tang). Provenance of all product is verified and distributed exclusively through Switzerland. I think Macanudo is the best that D.R. has to offer, but if its too mild and you are looking for something akin to Arturo fuente, then perhaps something like Bolivar would be better. The Robusto is a nice, spicy, fast smoke.

I smoke Drew Estate, everything from their Acid line to their Undercrowns through the Ligas and Nortenos. Great Cigars and tons of flavor no matter what brand of them you smoke. Opus X are great as well and sometimes hard to find at a fair price.
