Regarding the Collector scene, I am not ready to call him a miscast until I see the whole movie because of a 30 second scene. I get the feeling it was put there to generate discussion from the fans about what they liked / didn't like about it because they are still in a position to change a lot of things about that movie. I was surprised it was not a Capt. scene there personally.

I'll second the points about this movie actually making me feel some emotions (a rarity). This was, as others have said, right up there with Iron Man and just below Avengers. They are really kicking some ass lately.

Was a good movie, much like the first, really well done and Asgard was awesome. Hemsworth is Thor, Thor is Hemsworth. Probably the best casting/acting in any comic book movie to date.

Hard to believe that this is already the 7th movie in the Marvel Movieverse, geekdom really is somewhat spoiled now with the mass market appeal that these have afforded. Disney has to be swimming in bank as a result of all of this, no wonder Fox is so bitter.

And you really said that in a movie with Tom/Loki in it. nevermind RDJ as Stark.



Liked the movie though. Space battles were nice. A bit too much quick cuts in fight scenes. The first fight absolutely. couldnt see shit. The end fight... not as bad. but at the same time, whoever greenlit the portal idea should have been kicked in the balls. that is up there with "FF:spirits within" and invisible monsters as bad guys. its just a stupid concept to put to film. you are intentionally making a fight scene where the audience has no idea whats going on. why would you do that? LIke 5 minutes of Mjollnir just flying around because IT can't figure out which way to go.
Also dragged down by Natalie portman again. Need to dump her and focus on Sif.

Thor 2 was indeed better than the first movie, but not by a whole lot. For me the biggest problem with Thor is that he isn't grounded by being mortal like the rest of the movie marvel characters. They should have cast Hemsworth as Blake and cg'd Thor. As it stands, Hemsworth's Thor is trying be Blake and Thor at the same time which serves to dilute the awesomeness. It's like if they retconned away Bruce Wayne from Batman.

Wait, I'm confused now. Are you talking about the scene where Sif and Volstagg handing over the AEther to the Collector?

What got me confused is that they were calling the AEther one of the Infinity Gems and that the Tesseract was another Infinity Gem. Why can't the Infinity Gems be just that, gems that everyone wore on their foreheads before Thanos made the gauntlet.

Saw it last night, it was pretty good, Not close to as good as IM and A1, but I liked it better than Thor1. Some of it dragged a bit imo, my wife fell asleep. I then forced her to stay for the 2nd teaser, ya that was a mistake, doubt I will stick around for those ever again.

If this was a real analogy to movie credits, you would also have to include Draegan and Teljair as site admins, and all the people who developed VBbulletin forum software, and the people who work at the webhost, etc.

Movie credits are a relic that need to go away.
