I'm pretty sure it wasn't some random murder. Driving his body to that highway bench and posing the body, instead of burying it or something seemed purposeful.
In an interesting bit of trivia, I was reading the Wiki on Antigone and she was the sister of two brothers who fought on opposing sides in a civil war, the brother who died fighting on the losing side was shamed by the new ruler "The rebel brother's body will not be sanctified by holy rites, and will lie unburied on the battlefield, prey for carrion animals like worms and vultures".
Just caught my attention, since that's pretty much what they did with Caspere.
