People are retarded this season and bitching about stuff like mexicans blowing up there building which they didnt because they are too stupid to realize it was a meth lab even though Ray brought up that it must be a meth lab

the killer knows about VV's business dealings. he knows stan and casper are working with/for VV. the killer killed those people. killed them in horrible ways. velcoro is a longtime guy for VV, has done his dirty work for years. killer sneaks up behind velcoro and shoots him in the chest and gut with nerf bullets which for some reason knocks him unconscious. killer walks away. velcoro wakes up with some welts and some cracked ribs which are forgotten about by the end of the episode when he runs a marathon, similar to what happened in Prometheus.

now lets say this is a cop who is killing VV's (Semen?) associates unless this is a really really good friend of velcoro then he still needs to kill him because velcoro is way smart and just got really close to solving the case. the gaycop angle doesnt make sense because he doesnt even know velcoro, he was a CHP. no reason to not kill ray. no reasons to shoot him when he could have just clonked him over the head with an iron dildo. the shotgun was used to tell the audience that "hey guys this is the killer" that whole setup is stupid. its worth mocking. the way this case is being handled is stupid. and the whole premise of the season is flawed because this psycho isnt killing innocent people, he is only killing scumbags to spite an even bigger scumbag? does anyone give a shit? they made mcadams an asshole, gaycop is a weird fucker. velcoro is probably the worst dirty cop in a city full of dirty cops, but he is the most likable character out of the lot we are given.

this last scene where we had the main characters as the only survivors of a shootout from random messicans and they didnt even get their clothes dirty. they were trying to arrest a guy we never met onscreen so there was no significance to any of it cept the one true detective gets killed and we never know what his deal was.

We dont know why he killed stan. Maybe hes killing Pedos, maybe hes a fucking cop and knows ray is a good guy put in a shitty situation. Dont bitch about it until we know the killer

Video was posted of a guy getting shot point blank with riot rounds and he was fine

Why would their clothes be dirty they werent rolling on the ground, and you really dont know why they went after Armillo? the significance is the episode prior the mayor mentions blame it on a pimp and get it over with so we can get state off our back. Are people not paying attention to any of the fucking dialogue? Dixon probably setup the watch linking it to Amirillo under the mayors orders, someone tipped the mexicans off probably hoping to kill off any of the cops who know anything and to tie up loose ends. We dont know yet

the season is half over, we dont know shit about the killer or the motives. any season long single case crime show worth its salt needs to communicate what the big bad is after or who they are. if this was the first or second or maybe the third episode you could get away with "they are still building the story" malarkey. but after the halfway point? uh no. we are on the last 4 episodes and we should be focusing on catching the bad guy and foiling their plan.

their clean clothes is an example of how impervious our main characters are to anything. blood from a blood bath, dust from SuVs tooling on dirt roads got nothing on them. bullets? what are those? velcoro shrugs that shit away like a fly.

Well Velcoro was taking orders from Woodrugh, doing cover fire and working together which explains somewhat why they survived while all the other cops were fucking running around clueless. I liked liked how once shit hit the fan Ray new to stay by paul and listen to him. A ittle bit of dust isnt going to fucking show up

the point is this story feels like its going nowhere, the pacing seems just horrible. if they had actually killed velcoro off early on it would have set a precedent that our main antagonists may fucking die at any moment and the case could possibly stay unsolved, or maybe unsolved until the "true detective" comes forward and solves it. nope. main guys have super plot armor and true detective dies like a red shirt.

Dixon died because he was an idiot that moved without cover fire like paul yelled for. Again you cant complain about ray living when we dont know who the killer is. The next 4 episodes will probably tie evetything together. Hell the birdman could be Blake who has already shown he cares about Ray somewhat

There was so much crap from season 1 that was pointless or never dived into. All we got was lawnmower retard that wasnt really involved with the main cult shit

Even though this season hasn't lived up to the first (really, how could it?) it's still some of the best television going.

There is too many characters this season for people to follow. Last season it was just 2 characters you really had to follow. This season We have Ray, Paul, Ani, Frank/wife, Blake, Pitlor, Chief, Ani's father, the mayor and Russian and they are all supposed to be tied somehow im assuming


And instead of trying to just find the killer you have Casper, the land deal/contamination, the private parties hinted at bohemian grove theme, pauls weird backround, rays backround, fathers church, vinci coruption

Worth noting that the show has lost almost 30% of its audience from the first episode this season. Each episode the ratings have decreased. If it keeps going that way I would say there is a chance it might not be renewed, though I think one more season is still likely.

This is definitely my thoughts on the matter. I really wish we could move on from the comparisons and talk about this season, but I can't be fucked to bother here since the mods won't stop Popsickle's shitposting.

It has higher viewers then almost all of season 1 so its probably fine. Whats funny is how many people say they were hooked by episode 1 but obviously that wasnt the case rating wise. Alot of people said it was too slow like they're saying about season 2

This thread started out with a lot of shitposting by him but now it's matched or outdone by the shitposting of others about him. And even usually when he shitposts (especially recently, since he's dialed it back some), he still throws in some actual things to talk about if (though, yeah, his communication style doesn't really engender a good-natured dialogue). Trust me, I'm about the farthest person to defend him on this site, but it's reached the point where most others are no better if not worse in terms of actually contributing to a discussion.

If they don't want it compared to last season they should have called it something else.
