yeah 100 is on my todo list. i would watch supernatural but i refuse to ever watch that show, a nasty fat bitch i used to work with would talk about the beefcake on that show every week all week and it got so tiring hearing about it, i am completely against that show even if its the best thing since sliced bread.

TD Season 1 was amazing, but the ending did leave me with a bit of a case of blue balls of the heart. No major conspiracy figured out 100%, Rust was happy-go-lucky with his heavy-handed void/dream thing. Yellow King never solved.
Season 2 was all a decent detective show and in the end, everyone (almost) of importance died. It did the opposite. Did it work better? Probably not, but that's because of some of the rocky foundation of shitty dialogue and weird pacing it was built upon.

See the issue with S2 wasn't the story or the characters or the slow pace so much as the absolutely terrible dialogue. It was the absolute worst.

Here's the difference between season 1 and season 2: season 1 was so god damn good that it allowed HBO to green light the abortion that was season 2. If this season didn't have True Detective attached to it, it never would have been on TV because it was fucking horrible.

Yea I dont know if Ill ever be able to come to terms with Velcoros death. If he would have died gloriously maybe it would of been somewhat more compelling and satisfying but him basically fullfilling his own dream-state prophecy was more than dumb.
The failed upload was just more of a reason to hate that resolution. I think maybe Pizzalatto figured Bezzerides having his love child would fix everything in the minds of the viewer, but sadly it just made everything feel worse.

The failed upload along with the paternity test I think was good. It showed that the kid would come out on the other side ok. He wouldn't get a deathbed confession from his dad that he would have to feel bad about. His mom didn't need to debate on giving her son bad news. He was just gone.
I won't say it was inspired writing or anything else in the episode was any good but that aspect wasn't the worst thing they did.

Frank's speech to Stan's kid speech was actually the best dialogue, non Velcoro related, in the season I think. The whole thing about life splitting into a before and after certain moments. The "you got gold in yas, kid!!!" think was a bit hacky.
I actually liked the dialogue between Bezzerides and Velcoro when it wasn't their lovemaking/therapy session.
