People from the northeast think that's normal, and I'm sure there's a growing up poor aspect that contributes. I simply cant go to steak house with my extended family, because I'll get an aneurysm looking at all the extra well done steaks while hearing the ketchup bottles splurting.

I'll disagree vehemently that a microwave potato can't be good. Sure, you can do better in an oven, but microwave potatoes are fast and delicious.

Yeah potato just needs to be hot and it's gonna be good. Hell even cold(after cooking it obv) is good, potato salad is top tier. That said not sure why no butter or cream in there.

The steak looks absolute garbage though, but if he likes it that way, eh.

That whole meal looks like trash but at least his table is clean.

Microwaved potatoes are shit no matter how well you cook it because it's steaming the potato (just like using foil in the oven or on the grill).

Properly baking a potato doesn't use foil and has the skin prepped so you can eat it after being cooked at around 425, which takes it to a new level. Russets suck for that reason (the skin) so switching to Yukon is the ticket , since they have skin that crisp up real nice. While still wet after washing, throw some coarse, fresh ground garlic salt on it, and toss is in a pre-heated 425 oven for ~40-50 min. Still need to stab some vent holes in it, regardless.

That steak looks pathetic too, although if he is eating thin steak, he might like well-done steak (disgusted/OCD about the juice/blood type person). Cooking a quality steak to well-done is just wasting quality steak.

He's terrified of food poisoning and always cooks the shit out of everything he eats. He does his steaks with A1 sauce. He grew up poor, that's just what he's used to.

I got an air fryer. Been buying steak round cut that thin and turning it into jerky, and it's awesome.
But the wife brought home a big ass back of boneless chicken breast that I throw in the air fryer, along with some fries, for lunch and it's fucking amazing. I hardly use the microwave at all, anymore.

I have one of those Ninja indoor grill airfry units - thing is amazing. It has a pretty deep tub you can cook a whole chicken inside and can legit grill steaks/chicken/etc, but I frequently use it to reheat leftovers instead of microwaving them.

One guy mentioned the type of thin steak cut he is using is popular in places like Brazil and another guy mentioned that Asmon's odd way of cooking the steak inadvertently creates a pan sauce that doesn't burn because the steak cooks so damn fast due to being paper thin.

I wonder if the video is 6 posts back or something, and I highly doubt Asmongold can cook a steak with the proficiency of Tsao or Guga.

Look into potatoes fondant, cause this sounds like a half way attempt at that. Brown both sides of the potato and put some herbs and broth in with the potato and it’d be even better. Potatoes fondant is a family staple for me cause it’s healthy, easy and delicious.

My issue with taters is it always costs more to cook properly in electric than the tater costs itself unless you do multiples at a time.
That's why I switched to just chunks, slices/chips of them and air fry. Then I got fries, or I can mash or scallop them with cheese.
Baby ones work well in crockpot while cooking other shit too. Fuck that oven for an hour for a tater at 4000 watts.

The steakhouse at the Driskill hotel (built by cattle barons for cattle barons) in the 19th century is not even 20 minutes from his shithole on an average day. Not to mention every other great steakhouse in the area.

You can like well done steak all you want but the best steaks money can buy are right there for him.

I haven't looked too hard but I am like 90% sure he lives somewhere near Slaughter Lane. Which, in times past, was the street where cattle slaugherhouses were and thus the poor side of town if you were so unfortunate as to live there. Today it is bougies and upper middle class like most of Austin City Limits.
