II saw an opportunity to buy a facsimile of an old 17th-century pamphlet "The Soldier's Catechism" I've wanted for a while now. These old English publications from the 17th century are a massive pain in the ass in to get if you live in America. It's often $50 for a single copy so when I saw the opportunity to get the one I wanted plus 10 more for 50 bucks I jumped at it. The Souldiers Catechisme : Composed for The Parliaments Army : Consisting of two Parts : wherein are chiefly taught : 1 The Iustification 2 The Qualification - of our Souldiers.

Now, I wasn't so interested in the other works but one thing did catch my eye. Hic Mvlier: Or, The Man-Woman : Being aMedicine to cure the Coltish Disease of the Staggers in the Masculine-Feminine of our Times. 1620 . Could the scourge of tranny tyranny have been an issue 399 years ago? Indeed, I did some research and found out this is indeed true.

Now, This publication promises a cure for general trannyism this so I'll be sure to post it when I find out.

If only we got to these people when they were 5 years old and pumped them full of drugs maybe they would of killed themselves already.

That first creature is a comparative thing, but the dog thing that's more like Furry shit. Even the trannies don't deserve to be lumped in with the Furries, man.

I wish to point out there's a huge difference in these two stories. On the left, that dude is fucking psycho, and his wife is in the right. He has SEVEN KIDS. Even if he had 1-2 it would be fucked up but not as severe really... but SEVEN. Yeah dude, sorry, you made your bed you can't just escape it and be a playful child again. He just wants to escape his responsibilities in life, and sadly, he's being allowed to. Hes making his ex-wife's job much much harder. What an asshole.

On the right, its just a story about some kinky roleplay. It doesn't even say that this person lives, eats, breathes, as a dog in society in general (eg: on a leash on the floor eating scraps at a restraunt). It just says that they go to roleplay events together and his husband "supports him" in that. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it, so long as its kept in the confines of roleplay, and that others in society are not required to recognize/approve of or otherwise accept that this is in any way normal outside of a roleplay aspect. People do wild shit all the time for kinks/roleplays. It even says their roleplay dates are "with other role-players".

Huge difference between those two stories.

It's almost like people engaging in acts which materially affect no one else should be no one else's fucking business.
First example? Affecting others and is a piece of shit. Second example as pointed out harms no one at all except for our resident histrionic prudes.

I don't have an issue with furries. But I'm sure those who go out in public are used to getting the odd looks, or people giving them wide berth.

But I'm not a fan of people getting violent with furries, fucking with them, throwing shit, etc.

You gotta give furries one thing, though...AFAIK, they aren't out there trying to push that lifestyle on your kids

You haven't been to some of the anime conventions I have obviously... ;)
no, and we haven't had any debates here about the efficacy of dressing kids up in fursuits as a means to ease their transition into adulthood, either

It really depends. Not many furs I know just decide to randomly go out in public for no reason suited up. Many reasons. Mainly, it's fucking hot as fuck in that suit, and if its hot outside (and moreso if humid) then the inside of your suit is going to get gross quickly. Secondly, most people don't realize how clunky and difficult having a fursuit can be. It's actually hard for some to move around reasonably with it, and lots of people have handlers. Even the simple things. Imagine having a really really bad itch on your nose suddenly, wtf do you do? Take your head off, etc etc. It's really good in smallish doses, which is why cons work so well. You'll fuck up your foot paws if you're walking on dirt a lot, and many feet are also flat so stepping on rocks and such could damage them.

Also, very very few people I know are violent with furs, but a lot of furs of course will overreact and every "bad look" is insta-rape, just as you would expect from an SJW culture. I don't think I've ever been somewhere where people truly mistreated furs.

And yeah, I'd never push that shit on my kids, or anyone elses. All I'd say is, speaking for my own kids since they obviously know what I do.. lol: if they think that would be fun and wants me to get them a suit, I wouldn't do it, but instead encourage them to mascot for their school or perhaps go work a mascot job (eg: be chuck at chuck'e'cheeses). If they genuinely enjoy it, and really enjoy everything about "being" the mouse, or mascot, and act in character well, then I would most likely support them and get them their first suit. My wife attends some cons with me, and the kids all just grab a tail attachment for their belt hoops and maybe some cat ears or something and call it a day. We all have a pretty good time.

I can probably imagine. Long stints of training in MOPP 4 is probably somewhat similar.

Hey, was it JSLIST for you? Curious. You know CBRN is my field
Wasn't sure what JLIST was, so had to go google it. Doesn't look like it. I'm guessing BDO? I just remember the dumb shit, like having to sign for the suits when they came in the big plastic bag-wads. Washing the charcoal out of your stateside suit so you could wear it w/o turning black. The rubber boots with the weird elastic eyelet things. Gas mask had the big, rubbery over-hood. I swear to God someone must have puked in my mask before I got it...took me forever to clean that smell out with alcohol wipes.

Drinking from a canteen through the little drinking tube was weird. JUST USE YOUR TONGUE TO GET A HOLD OF THE TUBE!

I remember our suits being really big and heavy. Was back in the '90s. They may have been old Cold War stuff, I'm honestly not sure.

Oh, and the long black rubber gloves with the super thin cotton inserts...

Yeah that's probably the JSLIST predecessor of it was the 90s, and the boots and oves are still the same. Funny we have dipshits pushing mobile apps for CBRN repsonse/SA, and I'm just laughing my ass off. That's what everyone wants to do, dick around with a phone and stylus when they are in MOPP4.

Every suit should have been new when issued, but I'm sure that really isn't the case, because money. Pretty sad much hasn't changed since the, uh 70's in terms of this shit.

Oh, and NBC training where some dude is in the building lighting the crystals? Did they burn? It always seemed like someone would be in there babying/heating them, so I dunno. I've literally, LITERALLY, never breathed as easy and deep as I did after the CS chamber. Coughing up foot-long mucus snakes. Trying to find people gullible enough to rub their eyes, LOL.

Standing outside in formation with your hand on your mask carrier because you KNOW one of the CBRN assholes has one of those CS grenades or whatever, and is about to throw one and start screaming GAS! GAS! GAS!

Always seemed to be at least one dumb faggot that would be standing there all confused, not putting on their mask, even though they did that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Well, our suits were probably new, we'd have to take them out of the packaging, I just meant out of Cold War stocks. I could be wrong though. But the sheer amount of shit was mind boggling. I can't imagine how much shit the military has squirreled away.

I got issued a Korean War era parka once as part of my TA-50. Think they were out of other stock, and they didn't want to give us the 'bear suits' the Tankers got (or whatever the fuck it was they got). But I loved that parka, I really did. Can't find a legit one anymore, they're all Chinese and/or synthetic.

Is it over? Or is aladain taking over and turning it into a AMA furry edition thread.

I don’t want it to be over :(

I fear Vanessa Vanessa has been run off, or at least run from her AMA. And now we descend into furrydom (is this akin to serfdom?)
