We don't know yet precisely what causes gender dysphoria (and there's likely several culprits, including genetic defects, environmental/chemical affecting the mothers ability to properly create the necessary hormones, etc) but we're getting pretty damn close to understanding the exact mechanism that causes it, which is a lack of (or too much, in the case of FtM) testosterone during development. We're able to create transgender rats at will now in a lab by introducing or blocking testosterone during critical stages of prenatal development. (

Which means A: Yes, we absolutely will cure gender dysphoria. in 20-50 years the cure will be a standard part of prenatal drugs given to expectant mother's during pregnancy to cure/prevent a whole host of conditions or problems in pregnancy. Nobody will be born "in the wrong body", it'll be a complete non-issue. We will look back at body and genital mutilation that's praised now in absolute disgust, the same way we look at lobotomies from 50 years ago.
and B: Luckily you get a second shot of hormones, it's called puberty. Which is why 98% of MtF "gender confused" males are already
cured by undergoing puberty. The excess testosterone produced masculinates the brain. For the remaining 2%, it's likely genetic or extreme environmental reasons that prevent the testosterone from doing it's job and masculinating your brain. FtM aren't quite as lucky, their brains already got too much testosterone and started to masculinate, but even for them, 88% of them are cured by puberty. How the progressives treat this whole trans thing in the west is kinda funny, they've already booted the TERFs and the hardcore lesbians out of the alliance over it. It's funny because the "opposite" trannies exist in
nature, meaning the body is "wrong" rather than their brain. There very existence instantly disproves the whole "gender is a social construct" dogma they used to preach so it never gets brought up. By opposite I mean, there are children who are born girls, with female genitalia, who are raised as females, they are dressed in skirts and are taught by their mothers how to cook and clean and various other "typical female gender roles." Except they are males, pure XY, male brains, etc. They never identify themselves as female. And at puberty they magically grow dicks and become men. They put on pants and start working the fields and hunting with their fathers, etc.

For those like you Vanessa who were born too soon, or have more complex conditions which weren't cured by puberty, well unfortunately you only have what psychological counseling/medication we currently have available, and in some cases such as yours, cosmetic surgery to mimic the gender your brain believes it is.
But to be honest, you are the only tranny i've ever spoken too who took offense to the idea of a cure? For me being against a cure is #1 sign that you are fake tumblr SJW tranny, not real, just in it for the bonus points on the progressive stack. I can't imagine a single person with gender dysphoria who wouldn't immediately take a cure if one existed, much less not want us to prevent future generations from suffering from what you suffer through?
If you could take a pill and instantly have your brain and body both conform to the same gender and not have any identity issues, you're saying you'd rather stick it out as a dude with tits instead?
