Yep, I think Obama believes he can win the Congressional vote (and I agree with him - he already has Pelosi, Reid, McCain & Co. so he just needs a handful of House defectors). So we do bomb but not until next weekend.

Edit: I've lost. Congress not back until the 9th. -_-

This national conversation just got a lot more interesting and appropriate imo. I don't think he'll get congressional approval as the US is pretty fucking exhausted from caring about war and the arab spring has gone on for so many years that it's a muddled pile of shit.

Plus I think the more people talk about Syrian rebels the more people know how against America they are.
