You cannot say he is "wrong".
I believe he just did.

In this case, Iran all of sudden becoming the new headline it seems like what Ron Paul has been saying to anyone that has been wanting to listen.
You know, both Iran and Russia have been involving themselves and saying some interesting shit, and they're both in the headlines. The difference is that no one is choosing to say that it's"all about Russia". Why is it that so many peoplechooseto think that there is some sort of machiavellian scheme to go after Iran, when it could be as simple as Iran being in the headlines because...wait for it...wait for it...they've actually done and said some newsworthy stuff lately?

Why even stop at the state level? Lets give each county its own FDA since splitting things up is always better.
I'm gonna name my property the "Republic of Dave" and set up my own damned FDA.

The interconnected Syria-oil ties, and the price of a barrel

Smoke is rising from violent hot spots across the Middle East and North Africa - most notably in Syria, Egypt and Libya. But while there's no smoke without fire, have these political conflagrations already set global oil markets ablaze?

Bank of America Merrill Lynch argues that they have.

In a report last week entitled, "Syria sets oil on fire," the US investment bank predicts that the most likely reaction by crude markets to Western military strikes within Syrian territory would be a short-lived spike in North Sea Brent crude prices to $120-130/b., assuming a NATO-led contained military strike that lasts only a few days. Moreover, a prolonged conflict, although deemed less likely, could send the price of Brent crude initially soaring to $160 before falling back to a range of $125 to 140/ barrels and sticking there for about a month.

"In a worst case scenario where Syria turns into a protracted Vietnam-style boots-on-the-ground proxy war, involving allies such as Russia or Iran, we believe oil could see a $50/barrel price swing." BofA adds.

We don't need a government or a constitution, all we need are conch shells.

Err you do not draft if you are not currently involved with heavy boots on the ground (TM) fighting. So there would be no draft with the military having nothing to do.
Was talking in response to mandatory military service, which is what most people are advocating in this thread when they say they want a "draft". I believe having mandatory military service could lead to a more warlike country, not a less warlike one.

They solve a lot of things, piggy would still be alive to this day! Where did his words and reason get him when confronted by savagery? ticket straight into the dirt.

That book only affirms my viewpoint that if you can't protect yourself others will take advantage of you because they can.

In this scenario would only Piggy have a gun, or would everyone have a gun?

And what about flamethrowers? Someone should really have a flamethrower handy.

If everyone had a gun piggy would still be better off because then it would be equal, instead of an automatic loss for piggy. you'd actually probably have had a civil society on that island instead of a savage one.

Hence:

It's the same reason nation states like Iran try to get nuclear weapons, it's a deterrent against america/russia/china from invading them,

america/china/russia will never get invaded while they can kill everyone on the planet with nuclear weapons.

Do you even gametheory bro?

Maybe. Everyone has to serve in the military in Norway. They really enjoy their death metal, but they aren't a violent culture.
