The current event is the best ever opportunity for farming eidolon arcanes. Get your arcane energizes now!

It's a great event basically allowing you to farm eidolon and melee arcanes and multiple reputations simultaneously.

Gargoyle's Cry, it's the current event in game, it lasts until 15th Jan.
Yes you can farm arcane energizes easily, around 3 runs of the new assassinate mission for each arcane which is the best I think has ever been available.
You can farm any eidolon arcane - of course energize is the most popular.

I've been playing the shit out of it for the last month. Seeing how the last time I played was around First Dream there was an absolute shit ton of stuff to do.

Tennocon came and went.

Warframe: 1999 trailer.

22 minute demo of it.

Next update in August called The Lotus Eaters as a 1999 prologue.

Another update is being announced at the Tokyo Game Show for this year.

While Tennocon was live we got a super-sexy Ember Heirloom skin. Available all year round.

Next Prime is Sevagoth Prime with Epitaph Prime and Nautilus Prime which enraged Xaku enjoyers.

At the beginning, I thought to myself "What are they, modeling this off of N'sync or Backstreet?" with the lineup of the Syndicate squad. Extra corny af. But then the ending of it verified it and they were able to capture and encapsulate that feeling so well that I can just assume that the Devs are the types of faggots that liked that music back in that era.

The techrot design and enemies are cool. I feel like the organic look and the "rot" idea has been done wayyyy too much in Warframe, however. They really should have went the direction of a computer Virus or something. Make all the chords and wires "breathe" like an organism does. Then instead of the "feed me seymor" plant puking out the big baddies, they could have done something a bit more imaginative/techy. Dont understand the point of the Egyptian Cat though, that seemed out of place.

The bike seems really cool and Im sure will have plenty of cosmetics and achievements you can go after in that world. The tank fight was interesting, along with the Chinese Lantern turrets. Just wish they would spice up gameplay a bit more and add small areas where you can pilot a car or another Tank and do those areas with that. Good to see them using the Space Ship Flight Sim a bit more. Really liked that expansion and wish they did more with it.

The enemies as a whole actually, are cool. But whoever did the Green Mist explosion must be the same fkn person that did the Lens Flare in Soulframe. Not a fan of the suicide bombs that run up to you, though.

All in all, a bunch to nitpick at? But its pretty great considering its all free.

Reminder that Xaku Prime was released recently. Xaku enjoyer tears are now stopped.

Xaku Prime looks really good aesthetically. I'm going to forma him up even though I typically only use Xaku for when I'm trying to farm ayatan treasures, medallions, argon crystals, voidplumes, vocas or anything else where I want to break every container on the map.

More relevant news, they're streaming right now to reveal more about the upcoming expansion for the game, 1999(that's the name of the expansion, takes place in a warframe version of 1999, with "modern" street areas, malls, a boys band, a bike to travel around and other random stuff). Content wise it's a major patch similar to Sanctum, with a full new tileset(that has 4 cosmetic variations based on seasons), lots of new mobs, bunch of new story, new standings to grind, a new frame(sniper frame), a new endgame weapon grind system similar to Kuva/Tenet named Coda using infested weapons(10 old weaps and 3 new ones). Trinity and Nyx reworks too(mostly buffs for Trinity, Nyx in this stream).

Actual release date hasn't been announced yet but should be in this stream(likely the week after next).

Edit: They're delaying the Coda system to later cause they're late and they figured they can cut that part out without affecting the rest.

Still no release date so not next week, possibly the week after but seems they're behind on schedule if they don't know when yet. And then they will likely need to hotfix for a while to fix all the broken stuff they'll add, but christmas break so yeah might not be super worth playing until the coda update like in late january.

I mean you will only play the Coda for the variation weapons really.

You will be missing the rest of what the main update has to offer, though I get that hotfixing will be an issue since it is a December 12th release there will be some days left for a hotfix or two.

Yeah but the coda stuff is what gives the update some longetivity. As it stands you'll have very little to farm once the update goes in, story likely going to take a couple of hours, and then it's daily standing grind which likely will take 10 to 20mins to daily cap(probably closer to 20 if it's like sanctum) and I guess you can farm the new frame+2-3new weapons, which likely you'll be done in ~3hours at the rate they've been doing it lately. I guess if the arcanes are good you might have a couple more hours of grinding that too. The coda stuff would force you to grind for a bit for each weapon, and then you have to keep farming if you want to use some of them properly for valence fusion and assuming it's like the others it's still like a couple of hours per weapon and there's 13 so it's a chunk of time, plus potentially a lot of useable weapons.

Also technically they haven't announced the release date yet. It's assumed they'll reveal it during the Game Awards and announce it as live at the end of it.

Oh and for actual news, the Unreal weapon skins are free if you login now. They'll also be running a big prime resurgence for the rest of december and january to february, with 4 prime resurgence at the same time per rotation(so 8frames+16weapons+all the cosmetics for each of the rotation).

It's another one of those quests where you're stuck in it until it's finished. Not as long as new war thankfully.

Progression ground to a halt as soon as I was hit with a Necramech requirement for New War. Kinda sucks. This part of the game feels like I am building into and grinding for something that's already outdated.

Bunch of the game sounds like that. Its the only part I dont like about coming back from long breaks. A lot of the systems they've implemented over the years are exactly that, outdated. So you'll catch yourself grinding out some shit thats not even near as powerful as you could get doing a fraction of the work you're putting into something old.

Its one of the reasons I was looking forward to their new game. A sort of reboot in my mind, with a bigger budget. But damn if they dont seem to be dropping the ball on that. At least dropping the ball of my interest in it.
