Hurricane Camille killed more people in Virginia than it did in Louisiana and Mississippi combined. The Governor of Virginia has already declared a state of emergency in anticipation of Irma doing the same thing Camille did.

Was just discussing the potential death count. I think it's going to be high. Tons and tons of old people in FL who probably can't or don't care you evac. If it vaporizes inland badly I think it's going to be bad.

That was the thing when I looked up Katrina deaths. Large majority were age 75+. Those less than 40 were really small.

The only good thing about this is once it passes the keys it will be pushing water away instead on Florida. If it goes any more west then the surge up the west coast will be brutal.

Will likely lead to higher loss of life. A lot of west side people stayed cause lol 5 day out models have it scraping e side.

Also, re: retards freeways, why isn't the NG plowing broken down cars, accidents/etc. off the road and directing traffic?

This shit should be like when we evacuated Saigon, toss the helicopters off the deck and get the line moving.

I saw yesterday or day before, hard to tell since we have been discussing this bitch 9 days now, that the gov has people patrolling highways with teams of wreckers and trucks with gas for those who run out.

Saw a blurb that the shoulders were open to driving on, but no mention of contra flow. At this point you would assume all lanes open north bound only. No south bound at all. Maybe I just missed it.
