Looks a bit roughed up there. Good news is that administration you dislike is going full retard in response, which is good for everyone there. You have national guard, endless utility workers, disaster relief and a fucking aircraft carrier on way or already in the keys to assist you, supply you and help rebuild you. You better take extra beer though, I doubt that is in the handouts.

Looks like a trailer park. While it is a shame people have to endure that, I kind of have zero sympathy for those who choose to live in flimsy trailers on the coasts of Florida. Hurricanes always happen. That shit is not built for it whatsoever.

Florida is a trailer farm. You can get them for 5-15k for 70s-90s models, but they rape you on lot rent instead of apartment rent. If you want something that won't blow away you pay 300k for what used to be a hotel room in a beach or near beach "condo".

I wonder why Sunset has no road and uses ferry. Can't be more than 1200 hundred feet. Is it to intentionally be secluded more?

Yeah it's an exclusive island. It's also across from the harbor and they would never put a bridge across. Ferry only. Good restaurant over there.

Sup, homies. I'm alive. Power came back on late yesterday, but still no internet. Cell coverage has been pretty terrible as well. I'm back in my office at work today. My house fared pretty well. Lost a few shingles on the roof, and tons of trees are down or damaged, but nothing major.

Glad you are okay. I'm really hoping we get power back today too. T-Mobile took some damage because at home it sucks but a couple miles up the road it seems better. Was always great previously.

key west doesn't look bad at all, will they be imaging further up the keys?
The area they have shown had like 80mph winds. I'd imagine Pirates cove all way over to near Key Largo had it pretty bad, but nothing like Virgin Islands. Key had quite a bit of wind/surge but most of that shit is built for it from the pictures I've seen so far. Only the camper/trailer hoods and boats and stuff had it bad. Sadly lots of people didn't leave those areas it seems, we'll see how many. Doesn't do any good to have a strong structure if water washes you away from inside it.

As for imaging I am assuming so. They did a large swath down the coast in addition to the section of keys. I honestly think they already have it but waiting until they have checked the area, cleaned the roads and have things under control before they show the damaged areas to not cause people to panic anymore than they are. Fights are breaking out between enforcement and people wanting to go back and being prevented from entering the keys currently.

Ya it's all a bitch for everyone there but god damn like 80% of the southern half of the state could have been completely level'd if some things had gone down just slightly differently. Given what this hurricane was what happened was probably pretty close to best case scenario.
