This is one of the ways mother nature is trying to eradicate humans. This stuff is happening so slowly that humans won't do anything about it. By the time they do something it'll be way too late and it apparently is now. I just hope I'm already dead by the time when the real shit goes down because it won't be pretty.

Should we no longer drill for oil or build tall buildings because bad things happen and they have consequences? Yeah you do everything to mitigate accidents and avoid them but eventually something happens and you just have to accept that.
Not really. We had a place fucking built but the messiah closed it down. And as Strifen said nuke plants dont really produce large amounts of waste. Yucca mountain would of been a repository for all current waste(not just plant waste either) thats been produced so far and all that would be produced in the future.

Lucky, we've had unusually cool weather(mid 70s, low 80s,) , it's spiking up to 102-105 this weekend and then back down to 80s by mid-week. So frustrating.

The BP spill's costs are somewhere in the mid tens of billions. Fukushima is going to be in the hundreds of billions when it's all said and done, including decommissioning the reactor. That's an order of magnitude, bro.

DC area and there's a slim chance we may see a high in the 70s sometime this week. Mid 90s today and tomorrow, then severe thunderstorms, followed by a 10+ degree drop.
