London Underground shuts down with even the slightest flurries and cripples the entire city. Hell, I remember a few times when certain lines would be closed for "leaves on the tracks". Half the time I didnt bother coming in vs fighting a couple hours of busses to get into work.

the NE area is bracing for our first real snow of the season tomorrow night.

and of course as the day goes on they are upping the "low" totals and shifting the higher amounts towards boston

wcvb has my area smack dab on the line between 6-12 and 3-6 inches

wbz has the line a bit south of wcvb but has 4-8 in the boston area and 8-12 north of there and i am in the 8-12

whdh has my area in 6-10"

joy. my daughter is in the christmas pagent at church sunday. it'll be postponed.

Weather channel is here in North Jersey acting like its snowmageddon here. We have like 4 inches here. Wake me up if it gets over a foot. They will sensationalize anything at this point.

nothing to speak of snowlike, but this rain could made the roads slippy. my car is probably encased in ice like a large scale snowglobe by now

Just drove an hour and a half to and then the same back from Randolph theater in massachusetts, normally a 30 minute trip. No fucks were given. Saw a guy going around 55 get pulled over for speeding.

Went to bed last night, maybe an inch on the ground. I had shoveled three days in a row since a few inches would accumulate over the course of the day and whatnot. Woke up this morning and it was like I hadn't done anything at all. And I'm not entirely certain it's done snowing yet.

I live in North Bergen and we definitely got at least a foot. It was fucking complete slosh by the end of the night tho, basically a giant flood instead of snow.

In Morris county here. Ended up with 6 inches of powder, then went to sleet/rain which ended up turning the powder to solid ice. Probably would have been a foot of snow had it not changed to rain.

essex county nj here. snow seems to be mostly gone on the roads. my car however is a snowglobe. tomorrow is gonna be a mild pain clearing shit off because temps are gonna be 20s all day. im more worried about under the hood. 2 years ago we had a snow and the car was fine but when i turned the engine over ice had built up on the drive belt and snapped it. any tips on making sure something like that doesnt happen?
