I actually have knee problems in one knee, but whenever I bring it up she tells me to wear a brace. She is a cold-hearted bitch.

My work has a gym so I'm wondering if it's considered cheating if I lift weights after work and just say that I had to stay late.

In April we will have a duel. If you win she's yours. If I win, I get to wear your skin as a suit. Take it or leave it.

I'm right about exactly where you are. 5'10", 210 lbs, pretty much the same body type. I really want to start stepping it up in the gym but "it isn't a priority right now!"

My goal is to hit 175 and be in good enough shape to steal Noodleface's angry wife. By April of next year is the time limit I have given myself for that, that will be a year since I got back into the gym and reigned in my diet. But I hope to hit it sooner than that, really.
Gezzz, i'm not THAT far off from where you guys are but I have a huge gut and look much worse.

Now I'm depressed.

I like this part from the Staci update, this rings true for what got my weight loss started. Once you are started, it is easier to start adjusting a bit at a time and you are more prepared to handle it.

"You know, I look back and I see so many mistakes that I made: starting out with the elliptical, no weights, and joining Weight Watchers instead of learning about proper diet. But I wouldn't change any of them, because what I needed at first was for things to be easy. If I had known I was actually supposed to be eating differently and actually supposed to be lifting weights, I probably would have been so overwhelmed that I wouldn't have started at all."

Also, Tarrant, I probably have you beat for body shape while dropping weight. I am 5'9" / 240 now and I don't see myself getting near that look by dropping another 35ish. Still won't stop me from getting there, but it can definitely be disheartening. I think the main difference for me was losing more weight from my chest so my gut looks more pronounced even though I weigh less over all.

Hardest part is losing that titty fat. The day I realized my chest was actually forming to look like a fucking man's chest was the happiest day of my life.

That said, work is killing me and I have no fucking time for the gym. Weekend workouts it is, gonna have to figure something out. I don't like the idea of exhausting my body for 3 straight days but I suppose it'll adapt?

Goddamn Chaos, you sound like such a whiney little fucker with all your "my family is my priority" bullshit excuses. If your family is your priority you should make it a priority to not have diabetes and die of a heart attack at 50 fatso. It took me 10 months to lose 100 lbs, and for the first 4 of those months I wasn't even exercising at all. The last 6 I started to exercise heavily but that just made it go faster, I didn't need to do that at all. I was eating supremely healthily which took maybe 20 minutes more a day than it would have if I was eating off the dollar menu every night. Put up or shut up.

Losing weight is not hard, getting yourself to see that is what is hard.

The guy who runs NerdFitness.com just lost all his nerd cred with me. From the most recent post:

I remember playing Everquest (the game that paved the road for World of Warcraft) back in 2001.
and then later,

As I watched Ogre Wizards, Gnome Wizards, Froglock Wizards kick serious ass in the later levels
Ogre wizards? In EQ1? Lolwut.

Bros how can I convince my wife that running isn't all that great? I'm trying to get her into weight lifting but she won't listen to me, she thinks she knows best. She walks all day at work and then believes we should run for 40 minutes every night and I absolutely hate that shit. The only reason I go is because we live in a not great area and don't want her going alone. Should I just show her the Staci stuff, or is there some science I can show her that will tell her she will be in 100% better shape if she does weight training?
A lb of muscle is supposed to burn between 20-50 calories a day just by existing. So by weight training and putting on 5-10lbs of muscle, she could burn hundreds of extra calories a day passively

Hey bro, fuck you. I'm not making any excuses and I am making steady progress, I've lost a ton of weight and should easily hit my long term goal within the timeframe I set for myself. I just have other shit to do from time to time which interferes with the gym schedule I had set for myself. And so what?. All I'm saying is that the prevailing mantra of "you don't have to make any significant changes to get in shape like this chick did" is bullshit. Total bullshit. And it is hard to balance all of the things you need to have in your life, professional development and work and family and working out etc. Not acknowledging that this shit is hard is just dumb.

chaos, go out and have a nice workout bro.
Did you edit this really quickly? I swear to god when I first saw it it mentioned going to the gym. You've turned into the very thing you hate: Ninja-editing Fanaskin.

Inspired by Innysoludar. 5'7" 195lbs currently. Started working out about 6 weeks ago at 205 lbs give or take. So far im making good strength gain but who doesnt in the first few weeks. Lost two belt notches. Im looking to get down to 180 or 175 with a decent gain in muscle.

If someone can flip the images right side up I would appreciate it cause i have no idea what the fuck.
