The bottom line is that eating right, getting exercise, and lifting heavy objects will get you into shape.
Basically, that's been my experience. By my undergraduate, I had really porked up and crested around 200 lbs largely due to being sedentary. I also drank a lot of regular pop, which was easily an extra 500+ calories per day. 4 years ago, I began exercising regularly, around 2 hours a week, and cut out regular pop with a one, 6-month exception. I'm down to 164 today. It's been a variable process, but I recognized my fattyness wasn't a overnight process. Ultimately, a little bit of exercise over a long period of time can really add up. I started with cardio and playing around on lifting equipment before eventually migrating to swimming. Swimming is fantastic in that it's low impact and uses a variety of muscle groups depending on the stroke/routine. Recently, I've increased my swim routine to 1.5 to 2 hours a day twice a week. I admit that's excessive but, with my schedule, it's maintainable and I have not been noticing too many deleterious effects. I can feel my little ab-lets sprouting, but it's going to be a bit to burn off the fat to show them off.

I could care less about the argument going on, but what I do want to know is why Ark never showed a pic of himself on these boards, at least a non face shot.

That's pretty much it. There's zero thought that went into that program. None. It's just a typical Flex magazine type routine. That dude was in the military so people are going to think it's going to make them as fit as a Ranger and that's the point, it'll hook people. No one does workouts like that. It will cause a shit ton of inflammation and you'll look physically bigger. It's just way overkill.

He's a MetRx athlete and it's pushing a ton of MetRx supplements, hence the liquid meals so you buy all their protein, which it conveniently links for you all over the fuckin place.

This is basically the equivalent of the full day 12 hour or 8 hour arm routine that has been regurgitated 15 diff ways over the past 10 years.
So do you have anything new to say or are you going to belch the same crap everyday? We get it, you don't like the MFT28 program and you think it has 0 merit other than to sell MetRX products. What are your credentials again? Can you provide any alternatives? Instead of showboating obvious facts and acting like a genius, wanna provide something useful?

Dude your fascination with me is amazing.

I've said this 100x, the answer is because I don't care. There's plenty of people that make "friends" online and seek approval by posting pictures. I'm not one of them. This is a hobby at best, not a confessional. If you want to keep posting pics of you in a rash guard doing kettlebells outside of your trailer or whatever it was, go crazy, but it doesn't get me off to do the same.

I'm sorry this disappoints you.

any good recipe blogs / websites you guys use, or even books?

I'm down about 16 pounds, about another 14 to go. I'm not a culinary genius and getting sick of the same things over and over.

You can do literally almost anything. Find a physical activity you actually enjoy, not a program that you think is going to make you look like the dude who designed it.

I've said it a million times in these threads. Find something you like, running, jiu jitsu, boxing, crossfit, swimming, anything. If you want to follow a traditional bodybuilding type routine you could cut that workload by like 75% and do just as well, probably better. But if you think following a ridiculous one month routine diet and exercise routine is going to translate into a healthy, doing something several times a week lifestyle, it won't. It isn't sustainable.

The program itself is silly. Overtraining is very hard to reach, but that program is just too much. And you are a beginner.

Fair enough. All I'm saying is that it is annoying to listen to someone talk about Lifting, eating and fighting when they are out of shape and never fought or trained to fight in their life.

A lot of people annoy me, that's life. If you think that I've never lifted, ate good or trained before, then okay. Again, I don't have to convince people. My point is that really what's the difference? I coulda found a picture of a random jacked dude or someone in an amateur boxing match years ago. Who would know?

Has you posting pics of you in your gi really changed your life here on the forums? No one cares, it's the Internet, someone is always smarter, bigger, stronger, faster, richer. Who gives a fuck.

Ok sir, I concede. You may go back to talking down to the new lifters. I'll just be taking pics of myself with my gi on doing kettlebells outside my trailer or whatever this place is.

lol what a load of shit. It is not unreasonable to ask for a pic on a fucking weight lifting thread if you are telling people off. This isn't the movie review thread. Nobody gives a shit what fat weak people have to say, they want to hear advice from someone who got shredded, broscience or not. Practically any bodybuilding site out there has a culture of showing your avi before you start spouting off. Its not about making "friends", or "seeking approval" its about showing that you know your shit and have successfully applied it.

Thanks for clearing that up.

www.skinnytaste.comhas some excellent recipes. It's geared towards weightwatchers (it gives points values) but it also provides full nutritional breakdowns and everything is geared towards "healthier" eating.

*edit* I also really like the high quality photos of every recipe.

Started skipping rope to do some cardio while it's still cold as fuck outside. Most likely start doing wind sprints once it warms up.

Wish I could skip like a boxer, though. That shit is badass.

Give it a Mont or two and you will be able to skip ripe like one. it doesn't take long as long as you keep at it.

I know this program isn't sustainable, I don't think I will ever repeat it after finishing it once. My issue has always been I have the go big or go home mentality, so when I start something I need to start large or I just fizzle out. I may not be 100% with all the workouts because I have to modify to finish, but this program has helped me rediscover my limits and find new ones that I haven't ever thought of before. Once I am done I probably will go back to swimming 5 times a week(something I was doing) and lifting 3-4(new but needed) times a week with a strict no junk diet.

Spend the money on getting a speed rope if you're serious about it. It's made quite the difference for me, especially with double-unders. It takes a bit to get used to the speed of these ropes, but once you do, it's night and day compared to the cheaper kinds. I got this oneSurge Jump Rope. I'm 6'4", and it's pretty much maxed out, so if you're taller than me, I wouldn't suggest it.

Lol, I was giving Dabamf the same shit in the weight lifting thread. Some people in these threads spout commands from on high without realizing you kind of need some credibility before people will get anything from that. That's one of the first things you learn about public speaking (which this is a form of); you need to be credible.
