This is specifically why Keto worked so well for me. Sure you have to give up sweets, pasta, and bread (among other things), but eating really fatty food feels good. Once you drop sugar for a while, if the cravings don't go away, they are usually deadened.
Curious.. what are your cravings? I tend to want shit like pizza or sweets. To get around sweets, I drink a chocolate ice cream protein shake or eat cocoa/peanut PB2 on a rice cake. I fucking love PB2. I'll throw a banana on top as well.
It's not sugar cravings, I've actually never had that problem. It's that feeling of feeling full. Not Thanksgiving bursting full. Just more than not hungry. Like McCheese was saying, I can eat a meal and I'm already thinking about what I'm going to be eating next because I never get that filled/full feeling. Sadly, or maybe it's normal and I just don't know it, I've come to the conclusion that if I'm not hungry most of the time, I'm simply not losing weight, or so the plateu's in my weight loss have shown me.

I get like that too. I drink a lot of water or just eat again, I don't like to starve lol. I'm guessing you're around 1800 calories a day? Sucks but eating a lot of veggies helps me feel full. I tend to go with the dressing i like most in order to get as many down as possible. I don't hate them but they get boring fast..

That's pretty common in guys. Lower abdomen and love handles are the last place I lose fat
Yeah, almost all men will lose lower abdomen at the very end. I got down to like 12 or 13% bodyfat and still had a decent amount of fat there. You could see my top 4 abs really well, but the bottom was a mess.

1560 calories a day for a 2lbs/week loss. Most of the work week I'm pretty good, but weekends are tougher.

That shit about cravings eventually disappearing is complete bullshit. That might happen for some people, but I can understand what Fury's talking about with the "all I think about is food" bit.
Well, I can honestly tell you it's not bullshit. Contrary to what you might believe addiction subsides when the source is cut off. That doesn't mean you can't relapse, it just means that from day to day you certainly can get to a point where you don't even think about sugary foods like ice cream and candy anymore. But that has a lot to do with an individual's mindset as well. Some people begrudge the change every step of the way and don't let themselves forget about it.

Damn that's low. Are you exercising much? That looks like light activity at most.

He's probably just basing it off of MyFitnessPal's absolutely ludicrous recommendations. Remember my 1300 calorie a week experiment?

It told me I needed to eat 1300 calories a week to lose 2lbs per week. So I did it, for a month. I lost an average of 3lbs per week.

Basically you just have to understand that those are estimates based off of perceived mass ratios. They can be WAY off.

He's 6'1, 199lbs. That's a low calorie intake for his size. He must not be exercising much.

Hummus, bro. Find a good hummus that you like and it's the best snack ever. Sometimes I'll just get a bag of broccoli and a thing of hummus and that will just be my dinner.

Also, I don't know how you people live in the sub 2k range, I love eating too much.

That's the MyfitnessPal recommendation, as others speculated. My work day is mild to moderate excercise, with an hour on the treadmill after work. Certainly not the body building shredding workouts that are talked about in this thead often. But then again I'm 48 and have been married for 20 years. Not that important to me to be mister buff anylonger.

I didn't mean to sound like a dick. Do you log those cardio workouts? That should bump up your total calories.

Like I said, I think it is possible for some people. However, my beef with it is that people spout stuff like "you won't even want to look at a donut!" as if that is a 100% guaranteed outcome for everyone, when it absolutely is not. I admit that my cravings for some junk foods lessened a bit, but they still came on insanely strongly even after months and months of eating cleanly and exercising regularly.

I don't get it man, I just don't get it. I love it, but I don't get it.
It's called getting off my ass and exercising. You should try it!

Edit: Seriously, though. The only reason I can eat like I do is because I spend 5 mornings a week in the gym (and have been for upwards of a year; 3 days a week for a year before that) and ride my bike almost every weekend. If I didn't eat the shit that I do I'd be shredded like Ossoi by now.
