How often do people fall when road biking though? I doubt he's talking about throwing down at whistler.
Well he stated racing, I think there's a much greater than average chance of getting tangled up and crashing while racing than while just riding for fun/exercise.

What exactly does casually and gingerly riding an exercise bike get Ubiquitrips? He's doing cardio, he's not lifting. He can't lift. So what exactly is riding a an exercise bike at a pace that will probably burn ~300 calories an hour getting him? What's the fucking point? Why risk it?

Just rest, let yourself heal fully and eat right.

You asked a question, answered it, then asked it two more times
Are you unfamiliar with rhetorical questions and lambasting techniques? The point is to make him feel stupid for even considering doing it.

It ain't worth it Ubi. Just lay off the bulletproof coffee for a couple weeks. Ya know?

I mentioned racing on a broken rib, he just wants to bike around to keep himself motivated which is fine.

Good so you were in zone 3, when clearly we are talking about zone 1 here... Your definition of casual fucking sucks because you're an athlete who trains. You in zone 3 on a bike (which you race) is the equivalent of someone like ubiquitrips in zone fucking 5 as far as calories burned is concerned.

Take a few weeks and let it heal. If you've been going non-stop at exercise for a long time it's sometimes good to take a bit of a break, anyway. Dial in your diet even more in the meantime and if you really must do some exercise, go for some light walks.

1000 calorie an hour pace is probably 2-3x what you'd want to be doing if your goal is to stay active without pushing yourself too hard. Casual bike riding shouldn't affect your healing if it's not causing you pain

On a side note, don't ever buy Snickers unwrapped bites. They are insanely addicting and you will blast out a bag(1200 calories) in less than an hour, I bought a bag the other night and ate the whole thing without even noticing. I just got home and saw the bag sitting on my coffee table and felt shame.

Thanks for the recommendations. It took a day, but I came to terms with having a layoff. It is not like I am super depressed about it or anything, but I was definitely hitting my stride with learning BJJ and regularly dropping weight. Feels good man.

Also, I don't think I could race or anything. This would be more long distance cardio type biking. I mainly just do not want to eat less (1900/day) as the diet was a pretty solid routine as well. Ah well, now I can devote more time to video games for a while.

Couple of weeks is nothing, but you will have to eat less unless you want to backslide.

Yeah, the Coffee Crisp ones fuck me right up. I occasionally make the mistake of picking up a bag while on a road trip, and then proceed to eat pretty much the entire thing over the next hour or two. No idea they had Snickers though. Fuck you for bringing that to my attention.

They have all the major ones, I know I've had Twix and Kit Kat ones. I need to ban myself from drunkenly going into 711's because I always walk away with candy. Lately I've been all about these cookies.
