Well, it's that time again! Down 30lbs from the beginning of last year but really slacked off the last few months, still holding @ 164lbs so that's good.

Firing up the Keto diet again and really shooting for abs this spring, I think I still have a before shot so I'll post the results in a few months. Let's hope I can keep the motivation going like I did last year.

We have a gym at work at our new Corporate offices so I'm hoping to knock out some cardio a few days a week but pulling that shit off after a 12 hour shift is almost impossible, we shall see how things go.

So, I figured, what the hell, protein and creatine and daily multivitamin all seem to be working pretty well for me, I might as well try adding yohimbe (really wanted ephedrine but seemed like too much of a pita to get), fish oil, and hydroxycut (the elite formulation) (I know it's basically just a slightly more expensive caffeine pill) to my diet, but I have tried free samples before, and they do actually feel pretty nice when it's freezing cold, so if for nothing else, I'll just take one single pill when I am leaving for work so I am not quite freezing my ass off outside and help me wake up and perform at work before I break my fast (normally I'm really sluggish until I do that). IF is working great so far though, don't really have much in the way of cravings, they're pretty slight.

Ended up not even eating my final meal of six eggs, so I consumed 1280 calories instead of 1700.

I put on a bit of weight this fall thanks to being in class all day and too many mexican restaurants nearby for me to cook consistently. Went up to 175 and I'm naturally a 160. So I'm fat as hell and working on reducing that, with a specific diet and exercise regime. I eat about 1400 calories a day and lift heavy/exercise on alternating days. I put on basically all of my weight into the gut/lower back, and am furious about it. I don't need six pack abs, but having to peek over my belly to see my dong is pretty infuriating. So!

Tofu is my friend. Been alternating it and chicken as my primary "dinner" meal (I get up at like 4am so dinner is a bit strange to say) and I'm noticing pretty solid losses (and oddly enough, gains. My workout weight went from 155 bench to 170 bench within a week. I must have just been lifting under) with basically the diet change and 200 calories lost through workout each day averaged throughout the week. I'm operating at 600ish under my caloric maintenance according to the internet, and it honestly feels pretty awesome.

Thought about going to the gym today but decided against it, probably gonna sit this week out since it's already packed with dudes doing bicep curls in my squat rack. Just means I get to ride my bike more instead, all about them base miles.

Hit a 375 PR on deadlift. Goal of 415 for the year may be shifted to 455.

Also, I wish eggs were that cheap around here! It's like $4.50 for 18 eggs! And there's a giant notice about the demand for eggs are high and the output is currently low. Wtf.

And Zaide, wtf kind of workout is that? You're all over the place lmao.

You should go to a club store. I have similar prices ($2.99 for a dozen) at local grocery chains but the club stores sell 36 counts of better quality eggs for ~$5

Yeah I was in Pathmark when I saw that bullshit. I'll go to BJs this weekend when I need to restock on water.

Also, does anyone know of canisters of oats larger than 2 pounds? I go through that shit in a week. If I could get like a ten pound bag I'd be soooo happy.

Pick up a set of dumbbells and start working out at home.
Almost did last year but with the way things are going, might be moving this year into an apartment so I'd rather not invest in something I'll have to sell.

Plus, it's too much fun going into the gym and getting stared at because I don't have 300 dollars worth of nike/adidas work out gear on.

Have decided to cut for the next 4 weeks. Got up to 83.4kg from 73kg after 4 months of a bulk, probably around 15% body fat and want to trim that back down to 10-12%. Not sure how much of that weight gain is muscle/fat, hoping to have put on about 4-5kg of muscle.

There were spells during those 4 months when my diet leaned more towards a "dirty bulk" and I put on most of the BF in the first two months. Last two were stricter but over Christmas I was working out twice a day and eating a whole box of lucky charms or pop tarts as my post workout meals and didn't see any noticeable fat gain.

Got my squats up to 112.5kg for 5x5 from 80, deadlift 145kg, bench 75kg and OHP 45kg. Got a sore shoulder that won't go away, so another reason to cut to allow it to heal.

Also, Google Photos automatically made a video compiled from pictures I took with my phone. Soundtracked it, embarassingly 90% of the video was mirror selfies lol

I'm trying to lose more than 1 lb a week. I tend to cheat occasionally on my diet. Probably brings the average up closer to 1900 for the week.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm currently sitting at 185 lbs but I'm way above 15% bodyfat most likely around 20%, and outside of maybe 20-30 minutes of weight lifting, I lead a mostly sedentary lifestyle.

After suffering from severe fuckarounditis for several months, I have finally been able to put in some weeks of good work in the gym. Hit a new PR in bench last night (194lbs - not much, but it felt great!).

Following a (very basic) Greyskull LP programme, and I'm enjoying the AMRAP sets. Resets are much more fun than when doing Starting Strength.

Eating like women (sub 1500 calories) is not beneficial in the slightest. You may think, bigger calorie deficit = faster weight loss, but you need calories to fuel your physical activity.

I've read about there being a maximum caloric deficit that the body can compensate for from fat stores; past that, its doing something unfavorable. 1300 sounds terribly low, even for a manlet marathon runner with a pre-teens muscle mass.
