Great work boys, bet that feels amazing.

Been doing ddp yoga, not for weight loss but to loosen up. Never realized how inflexible I was until doing this for the past month, but this shit works. Great doing this after work, lifting during lunch.

284, 234 lbs down. 59 to my soft target weight. I've lost 16 lbs in 33 days since I hit 299.9. This shit is going to be finished soon and I cannot wait. Ready to get jacked as fuck.

I cannot believe how goddamn easy this is now. I actually believe there's not a single thing involving diet and exercise I couldn't do at this point. I dunno if abs will ever be visible for a former 500 lb person but if it's possible I'm going to fucking do it.

you know anybody that does skin removable.

I am week 11 of his beginner track. I fill in something on Tue and Thurs. I am definitely more flexible. Best example is the standing roundhouse. No problems now but at the beginning hellllllll no. No balance, no flexibility. Balance is still my problem.

Cutting weight at 20+ percent BF feels different than 15-20, and 10-15 feels even worse. Gotta take it real slow.

A picture is worth a thousand words, I let myself get out of control this past winter, I had been dating my obese, now ex-girlfriend for a year, and the lack of fitness and diet had caught up to me. Been dating an attractive new girl that is ACTUALLY into losing weight instead of just talking about it since December, and the fact that she's hot and I enjoy having sex with her, and I want to continue having sex with her is great motivation.

Her own progress has been pretty good. She got up to about 215 before she met me, 205 when we met, and currently sits at 189. Her goal is 160 (but she thinks she made need to go lower), mine is 180

Had a shoulder injury since October and nothing has fixed it, pain when doing push ups or bench press, I just don't feel confident lifting weights.

Put on about 10-12lbs since NYE and lost motivation.

Booking a beach holiday for end of April restored that motivation and only have a few more lbs to lose before I'm back around 10-12%

Been doing ddp yoga with hiit, made it a habit, hoping it can re hab the injury and improve flexibility

How long has it taken people here to start seeing results

3 weeks for me. I started slow. First 2 weeks was a "figuring shit" out phase. Just took that long to figure out what I can and can't handle and work out a weekly routine.

Almost 4 months in and down 44 pounds. Kinda hit a plateau, but I will plow through it. I am doing more strength training so even though net weight loss is decreasing I am gaining mucsle mass. Feels and looks like it for sure.

When I first started benching, I hurt myself with shit form at really low weights (3/4 bodyweight). I tried to tough it out (embarrassed that my bench was so low). Mistake. Needed a few months off. Anyway, I highly recommend face pulls and lat raises -- build up that shoulder. Bench press is a notoriously dangerous workout for shoulders; some people have great natural form (and genetics) and won't ever injure themselves. Other people, well... not so lucky.

Don't fuck around with your shoulders -- they're fragile, tough to repair, and chronic shoulder pain is a goddamn nightmare... we need those suckers.

I have completed my diet.

Before on the right, after on the left. The before thing was really faded so the scanner didn't pick it up. I entered the values as best I could see them. I didn't make it quite as low as I wanted (200lb) but I'm still working on it without diet assistance. I've learned enough that if I keep working out and eating much better maybe enjoying something like pizza once a month instead of a damn near daily basis, I'll eventually get there. I just have a very muscular build, and I didn't lose much muscle at all through this diet.

Keto fucking rules. That was by far the easiest diet I ever did in my life. Might not work for everyone, but did miracles for me.

Did you go to a dr? Thats a long time to be injured and have no clue what the problem is.

been to a physio (they just massaged it a little bit and prescribed some stretches), been to a chiropractor (£40 a time for 20minutes, 5-10 of which is actual treatment) and finally a GP, who prescribed some anti inflammatories and referred me for an x-ray - which came back normal.

After a while, your body adapts to the new food schedule, keep that in mind.

Yeah, I hit my wall around 20% body fat. It was smooth sailing till 20%. I've been sitting between 19.5 - 20.5 every time I do the weigh in and weight goes from 218 - 225 or so. It's pretty hard to get it lower than that at least on my body, but I'm sure I can eventually work my way down to 200 just not going to push myself like I was.

Grats too gilg, that's a hell of a feat going from what you were to where you are now. You started around 450 yes?

Yeah, I hit my wall around 20% body fat.

What? I don't mean to rain on your parade but you contradict yourself here.

Firstly, you lost 87lbs and 40lbs of that was muscle mass - so your comment that you didn't lose "much muscle at all" is clearly false. You lost almost 25% of your muscle mass lol (and incidentally that's exactly what I said would happen when you were preaching your 800 calorie North Korean gulag diet)

And if Keto is so great then how come you can't get past 20% body fat?

When did it become about more than just watching the scale weight get lower and body fat % aka body composition become more important?

I said at the beginning to you and the other Russian Gymnast that I preach more than just eating for weight loss but eating for body composition. I can only assume that the people talking about 10% body fat are replying to Gilga-eat-like-a-girl, who has been on ignore since last year.

You at least had the sense to realise that eating like a bitch was only temporary, but eating for body composition and 10% body fat is not hard - I've gone from 176lbs to 163lbs since March 6 and that's without any weights, 4 x 10-20 mins HIIT treadmill, walking at lunch Mon-Fri for 20-30minutes and some DDP yoga.

10-12 calories per lb, carbs post workout, and a good weights program will do plenty for your physique

Did the physio have any ideas about the issue? Did the physio/stretching/chiro help? If not, sounds like you need to circle back to your GP and tell them shits still not right and to push for an MRI or a specialist. Been through similar situations and its a pain in the ass having to get any kind of actual imaging done (xrays/mris). I usually get sent through the same path you've described, minus the chiro, before I get to any kind of imaging.

I lost some muscle, but what I was getting at was that I didn't lose all that much relative to my body. I started with almost 208lb of muscle. If I kept that, given everything else I'd be about 230lb with practically 0% body fat. I don't want that even.

And if Keto is so great then how come you can't get past 20% body fat?

Oh I'm sure I can, it's just slowed down to a crawl so much that I'd rather just do things naturally at this point. I'm sure if I stuck with my diet the rest of this year I'd be under 200.

When did it become about more than just watching the scale weight get lower and body fat % aka body composition become more important?

It didn't, but it's a tool and a guide to help me with the progress. My ultimate goal is simply how I feel about myself. My A1c is perfect, no more cpap, I can go up and down stairs as a breeze, and everything else about my workouts that I've been steadily doing is getting easier and easier. That is the ultimate progress.

That's good for you. And this is where I want to eventually be. But nonetheless, not everyone is as perfect, astute, and able as you. *bows*[/QUOTE]

My goal was to go from 177 to 160-165 but try to do it slow in an effort to not effect my lifts. I basically just cut out a lot of dairy, milk completely and replaced my after meal peanut m&ms with a piece of fruit.

6 weeks later I am 157. I swear I am incapable of doing any type of "bulking" or "cutting" at a slow steady pace. Last year when I started my bulk from 155 I got up to 168-170 after about the same amount of time, 4-6 week. Although admittingly I don't really track anything anymore and just estimate

I am going to try to stay at 155 for a month or so in an effort to prevent myself from rubber banding right back up to the 160s and try this shit again.
