I'll admit I was a lazy college student, but I got the impression that the amount of people getting degrees far outstrips available internships in their industry. Even if you filter out people that can bullshit a 4 year degree program but can't cut it in the work force. Even location of colleges vs industry make getting a summer internship quite challenging/impossible.
Wife does (and the majority of our Social Circle). I occasionally work from the Kendall office. Not that often =p
