Also thinking about powder coat wheels, I don't like this shade of gray and cover tiny amount of damage but don't want to drop 3k on wheels.

Just not sure gloss black with the carbon, or what color. I could do something crazy, but I'm a color idiot and would pick something that clashed with the body gray. I'm also unimaginative so would just do like a bronze or I dunno

They look good as-is. Maybe just a repair and refresh?

Black gloss? There are already black gloss accents on the car… I am like you as i would be like “oh this looks cool” then everyone else is like “wtfbbq” hehe
I mean that would match the test of the trim.

On my red cars I did like red black with a tiny amount of tertiary chrome or silver, or if I was braver gold. though that's getting kinda 3rd reich.

Not sure what they would do to fill the tiny divot, another wheel had a little flake, really not bad that I've seen in photos, I guess it's just or if 8 wheels jag offers, these I think are bottom of bucket, also that flat matte gray is kinda a bitch to clean iirc, car dusts pretty bad

So about 2 weeks since I've had the Z4. It's the first convertible I've owned, which was a bit of a leap of faith from coupes. However I always loved having the windows down and basically thought so many times when it was really nice evening drive how I wish I still had a sunroof.

I really enjoy having a convertible so far. It's a completely different feeling driving it. It's the anti-Camaro pillbox. Overall this car is really nice to drive, perhaps a bit too refined in a few areas. The exhaust in sport mode is very quiet unless you're on the gas at high RPMs, other than the cracks and burbles. Other than that, I am 50/50 on the manual question. Undoubtedly when there's some boring 30 mph country roads with the occasional stop, or an on ramp, the manual would be great. Stuck in traffic, construction, waiting 5 light cycles in the city, not so much. Same for just steep grades when I just want to use cruise control.

It's nice having a "nice" (and sporty) car again though. I feel like I want to go for a ride or take a day trip with the lady now instead of viewing the transportation as a chore.

In a world with fewer and fewer truly enjoyable leisure things, an aimless drive in a fun car is about the best thing left to us. Sometimes I drive several hours one way for coffee, coney dogs, whatever then several hours back just to decompress. Other times I end up in Colorado Springs with nowhere to sleep, lol.

Still debating my next daily, why are p cars still priced so dumb.

Was at Porsche OKC last week discussing car but the price was outrageous. They did have a used gts macan that was great (have had one before)…amazing how little the new ones have changed from my old 17’

About to get a free Crown Victoria from the MIL with really low miles. She hasn't driven in years.

Does anyone have opinions on tires? My Z4 came with Conti Sportcontact. Other options are their Extremecontact, and Michelin PSS (the first/other OEM but due to COVID they shipped with several different tires), and the P4S.

I have had poor experiences with Michelins in the past (granted PSC). I will probably get through to next year before needing to replace them but want to figure out what I'm going with next before then.

I get lost, there's ps4s but also just ps4 I thought was the designation. Moral of the story one was meh, the other is one of the best performance all seasons.

If you don't like to push the car hard, settle for some nice all seasons not necessarily full sporty if your rainy at all. Be nice to spend 1000 instead of 2200.

Kinda where I'm at on my truck, shitty A\T tires on it with a lot of life left. Torn on just grouting my teeth for another 20k miles, get some nice at for the 2 times a year maybe I'm in my muddy field or snow, or more likely going to try and go back to a nice highway tire and get better load rating and get my mpg back up to around 18 then 15. Just don't look as nice

Cup 2s do great in the rain and dominate in the dry. No reason to compromise. Second place would be the PS4S.
