Very British. It's supposed to be an EV right? why is the hood so long?
In non fag colors, I'm ok with the radical different looking car, agreed, though even being EV wouldn't have been for me. Plenty of room to have gone pure big dick energy and put a big V12 or something crazier.I'm going to be contrarian (I know, shocker), but I think this is actually a good direction for Jaguar.
Their diversity ad was AIDS, but if that is truly the car, then the concept is fine. It stands out in a crowded field. Just like the Cybertruck, people are going to love it or hate it.
Truth be told, Jaguar - the brand - was headed for insolvency anyways, so they needed to do something drastic. Their previous strategy obviously wasn't working, and they were headed towards dissolution, so why not try a make it or break it strategy.
It probably won't be enough to save the brand, but their previous trajectory was negative anyways. To put it in perspective, the Cybertuck sold about 4x more vehicles than Jaguar did in the US the past few years. If this new car can sell even 1/2 of Cybertruck numbers in the US, it would still be double their current volume.
More like 25-30 to 1, but your point is completely valid.Even Porsche, for every GT3RS etc that gets sold, they are selling a half dozen Cayennes.
Didnt want to overpromise without real stats in front of me, but yeah...More like 25-30 to 1, but your point is completely valid.
Top one is concept car. Bottom one is the real one. It'll end up looking like a BMW i7 with some old Jaguar bits glued on.View attachment 562213

lots of proportions and spacing are off
wasnt the spy photo from before the new ad/renders?
I'm just shocked it's not some form of Suv/cuv as that's what is such a huge portion of the market. Even Porsche, for every GT3RS etc that gets sold, they are selling a half dozen Cayennes.
I believe their plans are for 2 door, 4 door, and SUV on the same platform. Also you can see the production version has 4 doors and the roof line is likely ruined like the panamera first Gen was because of the back seat
You know, I imagined that car makers would learn some things from the cybertruck. I didn't think these would be the things though.Just like the Cybertruck, people are going to love it or hate it.
Learned what? Some people like weird/ugly vehicles? You know, I imagined that car makers would learn some things from the cybertruck. I didn't think these would be the things though.
