she wants to stick to the compact size
If you literally have to buy a NPCmobile, Honda CRV/RDX.
she wants to stick to the compact size
We're debating....If you literally have to buy a NPCmobile, Honda CRV/RDX.
GF had the last model CR-V. Drove it for 5 years, sold it for $1500 less than she paid for it. Exactly 0 flaws or faults. AWD, very sure footed. Car solid like tank all around. Car still looked showroom new inside and out. 0 wear, 0 scratches. I kid you not, I only had to put air in two tires once the whole time she had it.We're debating....
We need something which can easily do things like transport dogs around when needed, and haul moderate sized things. Which is why she had the Ford Escape to begin with.
Now she is leaning towards that again because she doesn't want a huge car, but like riding higher up than in a normal sedan.
But also, since we have Project Peaches about to start (buying land, building a house, out in the country) I'll be needing to acquire a reliable truck (thinking used, beat up, but reliable. I don't need pretty). And if I do that then the hauling consideration is covered and she can get anything she wants.
Also, with as old as her car is limiting it's trade in value, but it still being in good running shape, there's the option of keeping it for small hauling/dogs. She gets whatever she wants. Then when project peaches kicks off I trade her old car in towards the truck....
A lot of moving pieces in this as I think about it now.
Hyundai KonaYeah, she wants to stick to the compact size, otherwise I'd probably be looking more at the full sized Bronco. ...
Well need more than that, any kind of price limit. Do you care just about slinging something around like a hooligan, or do you need/want also loads of power for tearing up highway. Could go cheap and fun like a GR86, can get a couple year old last hurrah Camaro SS 1LE, though if open to used, opens up a lot of depreciated expensive cars, either catch them at end of warranty or something with a good CPO. My F Type R is having struts and sway bar mounts replaced under CPO as a 2019 as we speak.I'm pretty sure I posted a while back when this happened, but the M2 engine was leaking and I already blown 2 charge pipes on the turbo under warranty so I ended up selling it once warranty expired. Got a 2021 Ridgeline as I was moving at the time and wanted to be able to pick up a lot of big stuff for my garage shop. Now the Ridgeline is paid off and I think I"ll hold onto it, but I'm getting the sport car itch as this is the longest I've gone with nothing fun to drive.
I think I'm about ready to make one more bad financial decision prior to retiring(in about 10 years). I really want a Cayman, but they get so expensive even mildly optioned. What are some current / upcoming cars that are not insanely expensive and have an actual manual in them? Been really out of the loop last year or two.
I hear Jaguar is going to be making some cars soon...I'm pretty sure I posted a while back when this happened, but the M2 engine was leaking and I already blown 2 charge pipes on the turbo under warranty so I ended up selling it once warranty expired. Price I would say preferably under 80 grand and handling is a higher priority than speed, but obviously I want something that can "get on it" when on the entrance ramp to the highway.Well need more than that, any kind of price limit. I have a strict rule about mixing my gay sex with my fast cars.I hear Jaguar is going to be making some cars soon...
So is that a yes... or?I have a strict rule about mixing my gay sex with my fast cars.
Supra now has manual and since you already like BMW, your kinda still in one.Price I would say preferably under 80 grand and handling is a higher priority than speed, but obviously I want something that can "get on it" when on the entrance ramp to the highway.

If you have a track day only car and it's in your lifestyle great. But I've said, personally as i drive my sports as a semi daily. Traffic etc. A great quality automatic is nice. f type and c8 both feel great. Hated the 10 speed in my GT though.Z4 has one as well. There's not many nice cars with manuals anymore. Even Corvettes got rid of it, also think all the R Audis are auto only now? So I think that leaves basically a few BMWs, Supra and stripped Porsches in that category?
I'd look at the 987.2 or 981 Caymans if you want one, they are pretty cheap used and are solid cars. Won't break the bank at all.I'm pretty sure I posted a while back when this happened, but the M2 engine was leaking and I already blown 2 charge pipes on the turbo under warranty so I ended up selling it once warranty expired. If looking used, the Corvette is still the best value for performance (including handling), especially when adding in the possible maintenance costs (parts are more inclined to break when pushing performance, no matter the brand). Everything up to 2019 should have a manual option. The newest generation (C8 mid-engine) is the first generation of auto only.Price I would say preferably under 80 grand and handling is a higher priority than speed, but obviously I want something that can "get on it" when on the entrance ramp to the highway.
Get any of the Vettes with Magna-ride and its better than a Caddy/Benz, etc.If looking used, the Corvette is still the best value for performance (including handling), especially when adding in the possible maintenance costs (parts will break when pushing performance). You can find C7 Zo6 7 speed manual for under $80k, which offers huge performance that can beat the lower level (cheaper) Porsches and easily murder Mustangs/Camaros/Challengers on the track (drag strip is a different beast, but bone stock should be the same outcome). Just be aware it will be a firm ride, made with the track in mind, not daily driving comfort.
Without watching the market, I have no idea what is a good price, but there are numerous Zo6s under $80k and almost every base model/Z51s should be under $60k, if not in the $40s: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-corvettes-for-sale-161/
