This bitch in the apartment upstairs that stomps back and forth over and over again across her apartment for an hour at a time starting at 4 fucking AM every morning then goes to town on her shitty little exercise machine and makes this garbage ceiling do the most obnoxious fucking rapid squeaking I’ve ever heard. Just 10 more days of this shit and I’ll be out of this garbage apartment.

Usually what happens is I'll read the text but not want to respond to it immediately, then I'll forget about it until I go back and look at texts later. /shrug, Must not be that important if you sent one text.

Had a cough so bad I threw my back out in a coughing fit all the while our main maintenance man is on vacation. Only to have our grain elevator plug due to new guy not watching stuff. Spent 3 hours this morning 30 feet in the air scooping 2 tons of sodium bicarbonate out of the augers.

At least the breakroom has one of those old radiator heaters. Chilled to the bone, fuck!

Shitty neighbors are getting evicted (a good first sign is 15 trash bags and a mattress out on the curb) and there seems to be some extremely loud discourse about whose fault it is. The girl who was always screaming about how hard it is to get a job or the drunk guy who would take his shirt off and scream at the top of his lungs in the middle of the night.

Not getting paid sucks. But everywhere that I've worked there are corkboards with pinned up information. Every single worker that passes by that board should have been prepared for the shutdown. There should have been contingencies set in place. There should have been financial advisers on hand months before shutdown. These things aren't surprises anymore. Shutdowns are going to be regular from here on out. Why weren't people prepared on all levels from subordinates to leaders to administration?
I'm a systems guy, so when I see things fail due to a lack of structure, it rustles me.
I'd at least like that information covered by an article somewhere.
