The Twin Peaks intro is probably one of the best, if not THE best intros I have ever seen and likely ever will. The music, the footage, everything combines to create a hypnotic expectation of something good to come in the next hour or so.

All 3 of the main young sexy girls were just absurd sexpots. He definitely had an eye for the ladies.

Fuck, that's sad. An actual director that helped somebody and she didn't make up some bullshit allegations about him after he was dead. John Phillips couldn't even get that from his own daughter, Mackenzie and she was just a nobody piece of shit without his help.

Ok lmao I'm pretty sure someone was trying to convince me to buy tickets to see them recently. I asked if their was anyone actually left and they were convinced it wasn't just a tribute band. Women.

You guys are being faggots. Just because it's over played by retard disc jockeys isn't the bands fault. They played a critical part in conserving white folk music in popular culture.

I feel lucky that I don't know who The Band is and on a quick listen I've never heard "the weight"

Here, something else then. Never heard of the band? Ok...The drummer/singer Levon Helm was in the movie "the Right stuff" as Yeagers guy, was in "shooter", still got the shovel. "The Last Waltz" is a 1976 concert of theirs with interviews, free on youtube now.

I knew a bartender at a biker bar during the 90s and she always had the same favorite songs she punched in at the jukebox. For years I was going to this bar because she let me drink there for free if I helped bouncer for her in case one of those giant biker dudes got rowdy. "The Weight" was one of those songs and to this day it's associated in my mind to hanging at this bar in 1998. It's not a bad song, but holy shit is it way overplayed. She also had favorite songs like Fire On The Mountain, Can't You See, Midnight Rider, Crazy on You, Rambling Man and Heard it in a Love Song which all give me the same nostalgia but are much better songs.
