I really didnt think this game would appeal to me either. Certain things are huge turn offs for me, but the game shines through in other areas. The whole shit talking respawn, mouthy taxi cab driver, the over the top leveled up animation, all that shit is annoying after seeing it a few times, to me. But then there is little shit thats goofy that makes me laugh. I sat down a pug in a quest yesterday that had Dynamite strapped to its back. He went to the left and right a couple times, ended at the objective, hopped up in the air, landed on his ass and bounced into the air again to explode. Like... wtf!? This designer had to much time on his hands! haha!
The game is difficult now, but I dont see it getting harder later on down the road (outside of raid content). A lot of people dont understand the concepts of how the game works with mobs. Interrupting the Boss mob so that it breaks his armor shield down enough to where the next interrupt will cause him to go into a weakened state. People dont know that shit and the game needs to be better at explaining that. I would rather just run from an Elite mob than fight them, but at least now I know if I fuck up and actually tag their ass - I can solo them because I know how to put them down. Out of all the group quests that Ive done, I dont think Ive ever had a group put one of those mobs into a weakened state. When I do find one, I might actually friend request the sobs in my group.
But out of all this shit - the complaints I see here are very minimal and almost make you want to roll your eyes. I agree on some points, like there being too many quests in the first major zone you get into. Maybe they should make tasks a different color. Or keep them yellow and make story quests orange. I ignore challenges for the most part unless they are apart of my quest already or they look fun. But really, all minimal issues. I think the only legitimate complaint I saw from you guys was animations and I dont know if thats valid or not cause I dont see it. Sit your uptight asses down and just try to have fun in a game for once. Make some friends. Socialize. Why the hell do devs need to force you into a group for you to socialize, damn.
