-$2.50? What am I missing here?

I do find it kind of odd that there's no bundle on GOG that includes the expansion pass with a discount.
I am still trying to decide on PS4 or PC for this.

My PC is a 2500k running at 4.5ghz with a 770 GTX Video card (4 gb) and 8 Gb Ram, along with being able to store it on my new SSD drive.

PS4 is on my couch and big movie theater sound.

Wonder how this will run on this type of PC. I could always haul my PC into my theater area and hook it up for a while.

Any game with as many gameplay hours as this is an instant console/couch/bed decision for me.

I'm in Canada. Physical copy is $69.99 + $25 for expansion pass. Both are $81 on PSN.

$14 is pretty significant IMO.
The game by itself should be discounted too, but yeah that's a much better looking deal that what we get. ($54 for the game or $76.50 for both.)

I know I can run it fine, so mods are my main concern. I know there won't be a FCR3 for a long ass time, but Witcher 2 had some really retarded inventory management shit that I modded away even on my first playthrough. No idea if they took the hint from the number of people who hated it in both Witcher and Witcher 2, but I would be annoyed if I couldn't fix it on the PS4.

Sound is definitely the big plus with the console version though. I'd like real DTS surround instead of "sorry, PC audio is still in the stone age because Creative Labs crushed all innovation there 15 years ago."

No discounts in the great white north that I've seen. Just a shitty keychain.

So here is a question on the sound. Can I still get Dolby 5.1 through my receiver if I plug in through my optical from my SoundBlaster Z, and then use the SB Live software on my PC included with my SB-Z card?

What's PS4 max setup for The Witcher 3, 1080p @ 30FPS ? Choice seems quite straightforward if you can upgrade your computer.
Well, I am guessing I have the config to run the game at max 1080p on my computer through a home theater. I am just trying to determine how I can configure the sound. I can use my wired Xbox controller... Also, there is the fact that the PS4 version will probably be more stable at launch. 1080p30 on PS4 with all sound and easy set up on the big screen, or 1080p60 with a bit higher settings and lugging my PC into the home theater, setting up the optical and configuring the sound card in software to output through my home theater. Which I would do, if I know that 1080p60 on high settings will be better than "Only Nominally better" than a PS4... Considering the hassle.

You should be able to convert to DTS Connect or Dolby Digital Live that your receiver can process. Still nowhere near as good as the real thing, let alone the uncompressed LPCM 7.1 that the PS4 sends over HDMI.

This is assuming CDPR actually does a decent 7.1 mix this time around, of course. Even the 360 version of TW2 had a poor mix from what I've heard.

Yeah. It would be nice to know all that before hand to be able to garner the best experience.

The skyrim lesson they should learn isn't length of play time but modability. I never would have put the 300+ hours I have into Skryim if I had just been stuck with vanilla. It's the mods that have made me want to play it several times over now.
In light of recent events I would like this statement struck from the record.

I agree with your statement. Valve botching a paywall for mods changes nothing.

Changes nothing for TW3 maybe, but that's only because CDPR isn't a shitty company owned by an even shittier company. There aren't many developers I'd say with absolute confidence would never agree to something like that, but CDPR is right at the top of the list.

Of course, the flip side is that CDPR would actually have to make REDkit 2.0 into something half-decent in order for there to be a possibility of selling Witcher 3 mods becoming a thing. There's a reason there aren't many mods for TW2, and the only really impressive one was made by CDPR employees: REDkit is a buggy ass program that never made it out of beta.

if you a broke ass Wakandan you can get the game on PC for $16 using chrome, hola instructions are here. Its a DRM free version so you will NOT get a steam key
http://slickdeals.net/f/7822691-gog-...es-using-hola?

for console if you are a best buy gcu member you can get it for effectively $40, its $48 with GCU but also you get a $10 rewards zone bonus if you preorder (apply to future game). Thats the route I went, probably play for slowly over the summertime on TV

Alright so this is someone's lucky day. I bought a 970 and got a free code for Witcher 3, but I've already preordered it like....I don't even remember when. Months ago.

So what I'm going to do is I'm going to give that code to the first person who pms me saying they want it.

You'll need a GOG.com account to redeem it, which is easy enough to set up if you haven't yet.

You'll need to redeem it here

GeForce GTX The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Bundle | GeForce

You click the link on that page, go to the redemption portal, and select your country. It has to be one on this list (which I lazily copying and pasting from the nvidia website) so don't bother if your country isn't on that list.

North America

United States Canada
Europe

United Kingdom Deutschland Espa?a France Italia Polska ?????? T?rkiye Norge Nederland Suomi Sverige ?sterreich Danmark Cesk? Republika Belgien Schweiz Romania ?????? Croatia Bulgaria ??????
Asia

India Australia New Zealand Vietnam Indonesia Philippine Thailand Singapore Malaysia Hong Kong ?? ?? ?? ??
Africa

South Africa
South America

Brasil Latin Am?rica

Then enter the code and your birthdate, at which point it'll ask you to sign in or create a GOG.com account to redeem the title.

Good luck gentlepeoples.

edit: Code taken.

One of the few games I'd even consider pre-ordering, and the bonuses are shite.

Funny, that.
I got never winter nights for free for preorder. I thought that was pretty solid as I spent a crap load of time playing that game back in the day. Bought it through GoG.

Game preordered for PC. I was debating between PS4 or PC but with just getting my PC upgraded only like 3-4 months ago might as well do it on here. Plus maybe there will be mods and what not for it. May 19th can't come fast enough!

I wish you could still buy the collector's edition because I would totally do that (get the book, the map, the action figure or w/e) I'd totally support them if I could.
