Yeah, I think it's impossible to play the game and do every quest without a significant chunk of them going grey. It seems like someone decided very late in development that you should be able to do most of the Act 1 main quest stuff in whatever order you want, so the juggled around a bunch of quest levels and xp rewards but then never actually tested it to be sure it made any sense.

I'm playing it on my PS4 now while I wait for a PC patch to come out. Still in the prologue so I've got at least 20 hours or so before there's a chance of running into the xp bug. I'm going to try to do everything at the correct level this time even if it means bouncing from Velen to Novigard to Skellige before finishing any of those areas completely. Sadly the Prima guide is shit like almost all their guides tend to be, and it doesn't have the quests labeled with their levels so I have to plan out most of it from memory.

I can't imagine there's much to distinguish the PS4 version from the PC version.
I have PC and PS4 sitting right next to each other on my desk and it's very easy to tell the two apart. The PS4 even has a newer/better monitor hooked up to it and it's still obvious. And no, I'm not using SweetFX/ReShade on the PC either, just RadeonPro tweaks for better AA, adaptive v-sync, and a tessellation level that doesn't kill my framerate for zero image quality gain.

This uses camera trickery to give the appearance of cutting-edge graphics. The game does look quite good, but you have to look really, really hard to notice a difference between high and ultra. Aside from shadow quality and the hairworks setting, I can't imagine there's much to distinguish the PS4 version from the PC version.
Eh ive seen the PS4 version, and the PC does look quite a bit better

This is me trying to use fraps, but as you can see it failed, however this particular area looks awesome...youtube compression sucked since this was to be 1440p but i didnt know it wouldnt allow[email protected]/* <![CDATA[ */!function(t,e,r,n,c,a,p){try{t=document.currentScript||function(){for(t=document.getElementsByTagName('script'),e=t.length;e--;)if(t[e].getAttribute('data-cfhash'))return t[e]}();if(t&&(c=t.previousSibling:emoji_nose:{p=t.parentNode;if(a=c.getAttribute('data-cfemail':emoji_nose:{for(e='',r='0x'+a.substr(0,2)|0,n=2;a.length-n;n+=2)e+='%'+('0'+('0x'+a.substr(n,2)^r).toString(16:emoji_nose:.slice(-2);p.replaceChild(document.createTextNode(decodeURIComponent(e:emoji_nose:,c)}p.removeChild(t)}}catch(u){}}()/* ]]> */

This one is 1440p but in a different area of the game..

Will put up a better video later

I'm a big fan of SweetFX/ReShade, but imo the only thing this game needs is SMAA instead of that temporal 'vaseline filter' crap.

Some of those lookreallyawful too. I think their creators need their eyes examined or something.

okay, those look pretty damn awesome. It's been a long while since i tried to rate my PC based on what's currently out there. Please tell me, how would mine stack up for this game on PC, as now i'm considering starting over (not far in) i can sell my PS4 version to a friend who does not even own a PC.

Stats:
- Win 7 64
- Intel i7 3.2
- 12 GB ram
- Nvidia GTX 760

not sure what other stats to post except i'm not SSD

I cant say for certain, im on w10 10221 build? or whatever and use a 295x2. Id imagine you'd be able to play 1080p around high or so perhaps? There is a graph that better explains... let me look for it.

How accurate is that, as far as the bottleneck statement?
Ie I have two Dark greens (gtx 770, i5 4590), but my ram is just 4gb. Will I really be unable to play at the light green setting, and somehow 2more gigs completely fixes it?

Do you want good looking textures? They have to be loaded into RAM.

That graph is off. I have a 650ti boost and an fx6300 and I can play the game fine about 40fps on low settings with high textures and no AA on 1080p. Still looks as good or better than consoles. Graph says it should be unplayable for me.

yeah. my 560 ti is certainly playable. I would not call it good looking though. lots of popin, lots of slow loading textures, etc. I locked it at 60fps even. I can see there is a good looking game getting bogged down by the card.

The TW3 process will happily use more than 3GB of RAM, so you might have problems on a 4GB system. Also, CDPR's minimum reqs say 6GB.

hit jump(b on my 360 controller) again as you are landing to roll and not take any fall damage(for jumps that arent off cliffs at any rate).

Loving this game so far, only get a chance to play it a few hours at a time but this is the most fun I had in a game in a long time. As someone with a stutter, the first horse race quest had me in stiches.

Had my first fuck this game moment when doing Jenny O Wood contract, i read all the beastiry about her it mentions trap sign then fire sign, both of which was doing no damage, it was not until I got so pissed off after fighting her for 5 minutes doing 20 damage a hit and then she healed to full I just started pressing random buttons that I worked out that the trap sign makes her take massive damage when you melee her inside it.

I must remember to save more so fursting when you do a whole bunch of ? locations and die and you realise the last auto save was 10 stops earlier. Anyone on the fence don't be this game is brilliant; easily the best game I have played in a long time
