Aren't they like 2500 a piece? I would imagine I'd be level 90 twice before I had that much gold.
Nah, about 1250 gold a piece. I made about 4k from 80-85 (with skinning/mining) and another 4k easy from 85-90 without selling a thing, just quest gold. I think you need to be Exalted with the guild to get the cheap price though. Buy yourself the guild rep tabard to get yourself to honored (so you can buy the pieces).

So, are holy pallys good for random pvping? and is Ret still viable to solo stuff?
Holy paladins are excellent for PvP of all kinds, you really can't go wrong with a healing spec of any class for PvP. Ret isn't the solo/old raid spec, Protection is amazing at soloing old raids and everything in between. Ret in PvP isn't that hot since they nerfed PvP power for hybrids, but have great burst DPS which falls off dramatically once your cooldowns are out, it excels in questing/dailies and heroics. Ret also has some crazy AoE damage.

Heirlooms/BoA/Gold may not be mailed to opposing factions or to other servers, sadly enough. You would have to pay for a faction change to get your goodies from Horde to Alliance or the other way around.
False. BoA items can be mailed to the opposite faction. Just did it this week in fact. Gold cannot, though.

What glyphs should I get as a monk tank?
http://www.icy-veins.com/brewmaster-...talents-glyphs

copy/pasta from that link:
There are several Major Glyphs that are interesting for Brewmaster Monks.

Glyph of Fortifying Brew Icon Glyph of Fortifying Brew increases the damage reduction of Fortifying Brew Icon Fortifying Brew (a major survival cooldown) by 5% (to 25%), but reduces the health increase by 10% (to 10%). We believe that, as Fortifying Brew is best used preemptively, this glyph will often be useful.

Glyph of Stoneskin Icon Glyph of Stoneskin reduces all damage taken from bleed effects while Fortifying Brew Icon Fortifying Brew is active. The usefulness of this glyph depends on the existence of bleeds (or lack thereof) in the encounter.

Glyph of Guard Icon Glyph of Guard increases the amount of damage absorbed by Guard Icon Guard by 10%, but causes it to only absorb magic damage. This glyph is useful in fights that have a lot of magic damage, but it is even more useful in fights without any magic damage. This is because, Guard absorbing only magic damage, any physical damage you take will not consume the absorb effect, allowing you to retain Guard for its entire 30-second duration. This is beneficial because a side-effect of Guard is that it increases all self-healing on you by 30% while active.

Glyph of Leer of the Ox Icon Glyph of Leer of the Ox grants you the Leer of the Ox Icon Leer of the Ox ability, which grants your Black Ox Statue a single target taunt.

Glyph of Touch of Death Icon Glyph of Touch of Death removes the Chi cost of Touch of Death Icon Touch of Death, but increases its cooldown by 2 minutes. Since using Touch of Death Icon Touch of Death against a raid boss will be extremely difficult (you must cast the ability when the boss' health is between roughly 500,000 and 0), removing the Chi cost will make using it exactly when you want to somewhat easier.

I will say that the Monk minor glyphs are fairly uninspired and particularly so if you are playing a Mistweaver variant. I know that minor ones are meant to simply be cosmetic in nature, but sheesh.

What glyphs should I get as a monk tank?
Like what he posted. Fortifying Brew is probably the biggest must, since the damage reduction is worth more then the lost HP boost. Guard Glyph is a mixed bag, although I think it may be worth more now that the healing talents are becoming chi-free in 5.2. In anycase, Guard and Self-Heal are only worth a shit when your Vengeance stack gets high enough. It doesn't mention Breath of Fire, but it actually has some raid trash and dungeon utility. If an enemy is doused in booze, if you use breath of fire it will daze the NPC. This daze can actually interrupt abilities that are immune to normal interrupts. Most bosses are immune, but a large amount of trash isn't. This glyph is demigod like on the water elementals before Lei Shi in Terrace, since you can pretty much spam this all day long and interrupt the entire stack of elementals to stop them from dispersing. Glyph of Touch of Death can be nice since you don't have to blow 3 chi to death touch a mob. There are certain fights where this is nice, like Elegon since you can pretty much kill a spark in no time flat.

Minor Glyphs do whatever, although Zen Flight is useful because it is instant cast. So if for whatever reason, you're falling outside and aren't in combat, you can cast it mid fall and be fine. You can also fish and gather on it (which makes some quests easy if you don't feel like fighting mobs), as well as summon a normal mount. Probably the most useful minor glyph. I also did Glyph of Jab because non-Panda weapon attacks kinda blow ;P

There has to be an armchair psychologist in here. I just dont understand why the new loot system in LFR causes me to fukkin rage. Technically I have the same chance to win loot as I did in Cata LFR and yet for some reason when all I get is the Fuck you bag of 28g it seriously bugs the shit out of me. I never gave a shit in cata when i ran LFR and got nothing.

Speaking of psychologists, I didn't pick up MoP because the move to pandas pissed me off... I got slightly burned out raiding in Cata decided to wean myself off of wow. For those currently playing is it worth me to get back on the crack again and start paying $15/month?

You'd rather leave empty handed than have someone shit a turd in your hand for showing up? Really, its the wow equiv of everyone gets a trophy (when everyone is already getting a trophy)

Or maybe its just a constant reminder of "failing" to get items. We've been Pavlovian conditioned to equate gear progression with kills (purples and points) and that's being crapped on by giving gold. We don't want gold. We want a fucking purple or points biscuit or nothing.

wow is great now if you don't want to commit to raiding. You get to see all the raids via LFR, and can do it ANYTIME. I've logged in at 4am because I can't sleep and within 15 mins (as a DPS) gotten into a LFR raid, its usually under 2 mins as a healer. Its also really fun soloing old raids, I finally am able to solo Kael'Thas every week on my mage (pick up the staff and use it, makes the 4-boss stage easy), and usually solo MC/AQ40/BWL on 1-2 chars every week for the new pets, which can sell for a good amount of gold. I love being able to raid when I want to, instead of some shitty schedule like a job. I also skipped raiding the past 2 weeks and no one is bitching at me.

LFR is really dumb, its the equivalent of a cutscene to see all the raid bosses except you have to push a few buttons. No skill involved at all, no one cares what your dps/hps is and tanking them is a joke. But it is technically raiding, I suppose. The hardest thing is to not tell yourself "well, LFR is fun, maybe I'll join a real raid now..." because that starts you down the path of wiping for hours because some dumbfuck can't move out of a big circle on the ground, and then your raid group collapses, and then you hate wow once again. With just running LFR, wow is casual and happy as fuck.

And re: LFR and no loot, yeah that sucks. Whatever people say about the rush of killing bosses and stuff, the real rush is getting loot and when you kill 8-15 bosses in a row in LFR with no loot it is shitty as fuck. I think they are putting in stuff where you can get other things in the bag, but they really need to make it so every time you don't get an item your next boss kills chance (in LFR) to get an item is upped by 10%. Yeah, some people will try to game it so they get loot from the highest tier, but who cares its LFR.

I do mostly PVP in the game, but what I find ridiculous is the reason they refuse to separate the 2. "Because it will be too confusing for players to learn 2 different rulesets". Yet some abilities already work differently vs players and the gear is separate
That reason hasn't ever held water. Learning what all your abilities do in PvE and then in PvP once would be easier then having to relearn it every other month due to rebalancing and whatnot.

For that matter 99% of the excuses that Blizzard gave for everything were pure utter bullshit. They've all but admitted as much.

Were you burned out by DS (which was shit) and Firelands (which only Rag saved)? If so, I can appreciate the hesitation.

Spronk accurately describes LFR, but if you're thinking of doing normal/heroic, I think it's well worth it. It's been a good tier and the next one looks promising (12 bosses + a heroic-only boss you unlock).

If your interest is PvP, don't bother. Scenarios are a wasted feature IMO (their experiment with group PvE content that breaks the Trinity). Pet Battles have proven weirdly addicting and Brawler's Guild is worth checking out.

It really depends what you're looking to get out of it.

I find that I enjoy Scenarios more than the heroics for small group content, since you can get better gear from them, and don't have to worry about shitty healers or shitty tanks.

Ya, scenarios are fast and a chance to get random stat 476 gear. The first scenario you run daily also nets you 40 valor.

Holy shit I made a Blood Death Knight and I'm literally rounding up 15 monsters my level and killing them in 5 seconds at lv63. If I had a max speed flying mount it'd be nearly as fast as my lv90 full epic main.

Is there a reason why Blood Boil does 1/3 of a monsters health?
Lower level scaling of Boil Blood isfucked up.Enjoy it while it lasts - it's normalised back down to boring by the time you level to late WotLK/early Cata content.

What is a good site/community to look for a progression guild? I'm tired of my guild not starting on time and wiping on stupid shit. Would a 485 lock have trouble finding a guild?
