Thanks for all the replies and insider info. I think I will buy epic SL and level my own toon. To make a demon hunter.. is it like death knights used to be, you needed a max toon first to unlock? I havent played retail since cataclysm. I guess I was thinking buying an account would save me a lot of grind and let me just hop into arena but doesnt sounds like the opposite!
Now to figure out what server to play.. my wow classic guild has people playing shadowlands but not all on the same server. They said stuff about cross server is possible just cant raid with them?

Alliance or Horde? Forum guild is on Hyjal Horde. Only a handful of us are playing atm, but I can log on if you need it.
Its been years since I heard anyone say Sword of Damocles, and now Im hearing it left and right. So odd.

AFAIK, DH and DK no longer have a requirement to play one, and they start at level 8, but still in their own intro area. As for cross server stuff, the only thing that is blocked is Mythic raiding, but you can still do Heroic and Normal raids with anyone, of the same faction.

Seems doubtful, though the past few expansions it was good for a tier or two? of raiding before the try-hards move on and the real men burn out....

Forum guild routinely has around 150-225 people return every expansion. A good chunk will play for a tier or 2 before burning out.

Hmm, I queued up as a healer and it left me in shadow, and since most of my disc buttons are the same as shadow, I didn't catch it in time. I healed as shadow and had no real problems. Must be a <50 level tank scaling issue.

It takes about 30 mins to reach lvl 10 in the new starting area. Maybe longer, it goes by really fast. They say it takes like 20 hours to reach lvl 50.

I love people on the retail forums, complaining that they don't want slow lvling in one thread, and complaining that they can't have more than 50 chars in another. What does it say about someone with 50 max lvl chars. Some folks need a break, and they don't even realize it.
