Well the newer-ish model of 'always offer a passive' seems to be a good compromise. Do 96% with basic stuff or 100% with min/max and EQ2 ability rotations.

Yeah, I appreciate the option to have a 3 button rotation or a more complex rotation. There's always going to be a power discrepancy, but only mythic raiders should really concern themselves with a 4% DPS loss (and even then, I would argue that 95% of the time mythic wipes are due to strategy/execution failure, not low dps).

We had a pretty strong one going at the start of WOD but it fell apart after a while. I think in general anyone that is still playing is all scattered.

Closer to Legion, I will probably see if anyone is interested in a casual, maybe 1 raid a week, guild. But, I've switched servers and factions since our stint on Hyjal.

Yeah I was thinking I'd probably alt a character with you dudes assuming the forum lands someplace for Legion.

If anyone wants to jump into Mythics or had their current Mythic group fall apart and are looking, my guild now is always recruiting. On Cooldown, Alliance on Emerald Dream. We're a pretty good mix of skilled but chill and with 9 hours of raiding a week we hover around 250-300 for US guilds. We're low on drama so that's key for anyone and also a willingness to rotate in and out at least to start. Slaythe#1431 if anyone ever wants to chat about that. Or PM here I guess.

Noodle, you start mythic raiding I bet your wife will clean the house to get you to quit.

I haven't played since Cata even though I bought MoP at release (played it for about an hour and that was it). I picked up WoD for like $12 a while back during a black friday deal or something and was thinking of resubbing to play a bit.

What server are you guys on? And I remember them planning on making Heirlooms mailable between servers, they ever do that? So much has changed that I'll probably want to make a new character rather than trying to figure the new shit out on an existing character.

Yeah I don't know if I will come back or not, but I have thought about it.

Actually Saturdays are family time now, so I wouldn't even consider raiding then. That said, she works M, W, F nights and the kid goes to sleep at 7pm EST - TIME TO ROLL OUT THE MINIVAN

I did the same. Played Cata, bought MoP but never even installed it.

The game allows you to buy a sub for gold now. I had enough among some characters so I figured I'd jump in for a bit.

I really haven't followed WoW since Cata. From what I remember, MoP was generally hated by all? HasWarlords of Draenorlived up to expectations?

Khane, you don't have to mail heirlooms at all unless you want to load them up with enchantments first. There's a "collections" UI that stores stuff account wide such as mounts, pets, heirlooms, and toys. You can even sell many of the battle pets as a way of getting some starting gold on a fresh server.

Also, once you collect 35 heirlooms, you get a mount that can be used from level 1.

And remember that any raid outside of Mythic level is game wide, so your server doesn't matter for most things.

The next step is to toss out factions.

Heirlooms have their own tab in the UI now, your alts just open the window and click the ones they want to use and it summons a copy of the item into your bags. So no need to mail them around anymore (the downside to this is you'd have to enchant them for each character if you care about that).

edit: or, what Kreugen said :p

Would be nice, but will probably never happen because of LOLWorldPvP fags. I'd settle just for being able to group cross-faction.

I think MOP was far better than WOD. There was a ton of content patches at least.

Yeah i didn't really realize how nice MOP was until we got WOD. I think as a whole the WOD expansion is super dull but the raid encounters have been great.
