Yeah I don't know if I will come back or not, but I have thought about it.

Actually Saturdays are family time now, so I wouldn't even consider raiding then. That said, she works M, W, F nights and the kid goes to sleep at 7pm EST - TIME TO ROLL OUT THE MINIVAN
I'd hit that!

Is this really the only way to unlock flying in Draenor?

Draenor Pathfinder: Prepare for Flying - World of Warcraft
Use your gold stockpile to buy rep tokens off the AH. That's the only annoying part of all of that and you can go from no faction to exalted instantly and only have to drop like 100k or so to do it.

Once you're 90, you can do 90-100 in just a couple hours doing this:

Leveling 90-100 in under ~2 hours - Guides - Wowhead

First time through i'd buy double the experience potions than required then theres no stress. That also will take care of your treasure hunting achievements needed for flying.

WoD was pretty boring to me.. I tried to level a second character and just couldn't do it.
Most of my alts leveled using the garrison XP missions + harvesting. They only set foot outside to unlock the 2nd level of garrison (which requires questing) and to unlock the salvage building before 100.

I took my main through the leveling experience, did every quest and bonus quest.. then leveled my (at the time) seven alts solely on pet battle XP. I took one daily to three MoP pet masters, did three fights, and after about two weeks was 100. Rinse and repeat for painless leveling, especially since it helped make my 750+ pets max level. I'll have to find a new trick for Legion now they're all maxed though.

I maxed 11 characters, 2 of them with the 300% potion trick to "skip" 5 levels (93-98 usually) in Gorgrond, but it's a lot of setup time to kill all nameds and get all bonus area down to -1 mob (it's also boring).
Levelling with just the +20% exp bonus potion was easy enough, what's important is to stick to level appropriate zones, so gtfo from Gorgrond at 94 (unless using the potion trick), do 2 levels in Talador and go to spires at 97 and to Nagrand at 98, no matter if you have quests left to do.
If you queue for dungeons all the time as a dps, you'll be 100 in a dozen hours top. As a tank you can chain queue and skip everything, but questing gives a lot of rewards/treasures, gathering and last but not least, followers.
At 98 remember to pick up the legendary quest if you want to do it, queue for specific dungeons while questing in Nagrand, chances are you'll find good geared people wiping the place in 7 minutes for your fast and easy quest piece.

I love using the bonus XP potion trick to level 91-100. I forget that I should buy a treasure map for Gorgrond. The setup is the only time consuming part but I enjoy how the character dings multiple times in 15 minutes. I have 6 100's and will soon have 9. I am not sure if I want to even bother with a 10th. I am using the gold to advance both my wife's and my account towards the 2 year cap. I will finish up archaeology after this as I still have not completed all of the garrison on my main. I did finally get the bug mount and the walking hand pet.

You don't need one. Handynotes + Handynotes_DraenorTreasures gives you the same thing, without paying 100g.

I'm jealous. Still no pet.

I have 7 level 100 chars. Four quested, two with the bonus objectives method, one boost. I don't think #8 and #9 will do the quests.

Got Mimiron's Head on my 11th total kill. 255 mounts now and it starts to suck.
Some guy posted the rare Spectral Tiger mount in trade today, asked 1.6m gold. Being on EU servers is no fun sometimes.

I have 1.7m gold and I'm not going to spend all of it on a single mount.

I am itching to play some WoW but I really don't want to login to Draenor. Wonder if I should just level a character somewhere slowly while waiting forever for the expansion to go live :/

P.s. for anyone who likes this kinda stuff, I really enjoy watching Nobbel87's videos on youtube from the alpha. He seems to do every artifact questline and it's pretty cool even though he's terrible at the game. I am starting to enjoy the lore a whole lot again because it feels like they've established this great concoction of characters and now they're just going haywire with them.

What are the big money making professions these days? Back when I still played it was Alchemy for Darkmoon Trinkets/transmutes and jewelcrafting so I have like 8 Cata maxed alchemists for transmutes and such. That still a good money maker?

There isn't much money to be made actually making anything that any of the professions make. What I tend to run on my extra guys is JC for their daily quest which rewards ~225g per day, and inscription which averages maybe 100g a day on the partial receipts their follower makes. They are also easy to keep running since the garrison gives you the mats needed for both.

If you can find a buyer there's money in selling upgraded weapons or armor (or the upgrade tokens), but every profession can do that. Other things like bags, glyphs, enchants, & pots sell, but maybe not for the profit margins that previous expansions had.

Bags are pretty much all that sell consistently for some profit. This expansion's ease of leveling and crafting has really destroyed the gold market for crafted items. I just leveled a JC and was not aware of a daily that paid 225 gold. You do better just selling the craft material but even that goes for a pretty low amount considering. Playing the AH game and garrison/naval gold missions are the best way to make gold for the least amount of effort.

The problem right now is that nothing competes with the mission tables for gold/effort. Your best bet for the 5-7 months remaining in WoD is to level alts to 100. Whatever you could have farmed in the time it takes to level an alt will be surpassed by what that alt generates daily with minimal effort.

I've sold a million bags.

Faction tokens, xp pots and random crap like ogre caches still sell pretty well. I'm only 4 months away from having my sub extended to 2018. 99.9% of that money came from logging in 15 minutes a day and keeping the mission queue full.
