I don't care. Just stop analyzing fucking stats and rotations and play the game. Active mitigation is not hard to keep up if you don't stare at simcraft all day.
Says the guy playing the class with the easiest to maintain AM.

Don't confuse difficulty with tedium and pointless. I'm asking for some choices regarding shield block. That's essentially asking for difficulty.

You should just because the AP from them is fucking crazy good and it's not that long of a slog.

It's not that I don't want to I just don't have the time to do it. Most weeks I get maybe 4 hours of time to play outside of raiding and it's not always in one sitting so I pretty much just do WQs. I am also woefully behind on AP and AK (27 and 15 repectfully) due to having weeks where I did not log on at all.

I'm sure I sound like the guy most avoid bringing a long... But I watch my logs closely, I would sit myself if my dps were detrimentally low.

Get the WoW companion app so you can at least keep up on the AK research!

Short cooldown abilities like shield block is one of the reasons I dropped warrior and eliminated paladin and DH as my tank alt. It's just maintenance, no thought goes into pressing the skill. Thus, you're punished for not keeping it up as often as possible yet it's not short enough to fit into a standard rotation.

Having a weakauras setup does help considerably. This is the best I've found so far:
Khakhan's Prot War (1 of 2)
It even helps with proper weaving of FR and IP if you have Vengeance and suggests Revenge at the right time if single target. But even with that much help, I found it was too much shit to pay attention to. So I just went with guardian druid. Props to people who can properly hack prot warrior, I couldn't and I suspect I tunnel vision quite easily.

Prot Pally active mitigation is off the GCD, making it simple to maintain. Is Prot warr not the same way?

All AMs are off the GCD with the exception of DK. Maybe monk too, but I don't know the class well enough.

The problem is remembering to actually hit it every 7-10s, not I don't have a free GCD in time. Again, I'm more than willing to admit this is just a personal problem and I tunnel vision too easily. I've played prot warrior enough to acclimate to every other part of the class, I just find myself forgetting to hit shield block. Maybe it's not high impact enough, falling victim to the same problem focused rage does.

I think short cooldown abilities should be like frenzied regen where you use them reactively instead of maintain.

Can you actually maintain SoTR? I thought it had a 16s CD.

Looking forward to trying my dps on this fight once I get my fury artifact up that high. I haven't done it yet -- I'm tanking most of the time -- but it'll be interesting to see how high I can get the number.

Some shit LFR raid I think I got up to 43 stacks. Probably LFR Helya.

You can with enough haste almost... Get weak aura's or something that has the game make a sound when your shield block drops. Thats what I do when i tank, different sounds when different things happen as its much easier to respond to an audio queue,

They chopped half a second off heavy repercussions on the latest PTR. I wonder how much that devalues haste stacking. Revenge was also nerfed to 440% AP. I expected that one, 650% AP was nuts.

Blizzard are idiots. They just took a hatchet to all the decent legendary items and you can tell they just literally made this shit up last minute because many of the ones they buffed because they were shit they just changed back to the 7.1 stats. So literally their whole plan is retune everything to 3% each and hope the poor casual idiots who get utility ones just don't notice the difference anymore. Golf clap.

There is no leadership over there, Ion Drive was clearly not ready to take the reins as they are start stopping major changes like a fifteen year old learning on a standard transmission. God damn.

Joke's on them, I don't have any legendaries for them to nerf!

Of the ones I do know decently, they do seem quite...muted? I wasn't really looking forward to any on my shaman except for the chain heal, and that one looks ok still. I'm betting upgrading to a 910 might be comparable in power to the actual affix now.

They're basically now going to be utility and STILL worthless (good job herpaderps), 3% flat boring +gooder dps or bis encounter specific.

As in, shit literally no one wants.

I mean, they are already nerfing my Feign Death legendary but buffing my Absorb Shield legendary so I'm not sure what it will all do to my DPS....
