Cowboys have done a really good job at drafting TE's (about the only thing they drafted well between 2006-2009), they can just never breakthrough because of Witten. I think that's 3 TEs now that have gone on to other teams and not washed out - Fasano, Marty B, and Phillips.

Their current backup, James Hanna, may actually succeed Witten.

Dolphins working out Tavon Austin. Would be a scary fast receiving duo with Wallace for sure if they drafted him. Still all depends on Tannehill not sucking the cack.

Bro, if Tannehill isn't that great, we've always got Matt Moore!
I dont think Tannehill sucks that much but I also don't he'll ever be what the Dolphins are hoping he will. He isn't going to eventually transform into some top 10 pocket passer. At best he will be the next Byron Leftwich/Charlie batch type of QB who will bounce around the league in a backup role for a few years.

Then the Dolphins will draft another unproven QB 2-3 years later with similar results.

It's tough to say based on last seasons results how good Tannehill is, or isn't. He will be running the read option offense this season. He's not RG, or Luck speed wise, but he's not slow, and throws extremely well on the run. Certainly not a pure pocket passer.

His biggest issue last season was reads over the middle, he made quite a few mistakes last year in that department, but chalk part of that up to defenses giving our receivers zero respect. Wallace will change that by opening up the middle of the field. Now we just need a solid TE to take advantage of it.

It's almost impossible to take in to account his stats last year, as he was throwing to Hartline as a #1 receiver and the occasional pass to Devon Bess. I don't think ANYONE could do well throwing to that receiving core, even with them he put up better stats than Chad Henne. I have a feeling Miami is looking to grab a receiver or RB quickly in the draft this year.

Tavon Austin is the guy we need from the draft to play the slot. I think Bess will be cut, but during or after the draft.

Buccaneers just made Dashon Goldson the highest paid safety in the league. 5 years $41.25 mil. for an above average safety loooooool. TB and Miami just handing out blank checks and telling free agents to fill in whatever they think they're worth.

Wes Welker talking to Broncos.

That would be a ridiculous receiver corps.

Damn that is crazy. That secondary was terrible in TB. He must have looked like Ronnie Lott compared to what TB rolled out there last season. If they get that deal done for Revis , that's a shit ton of money tied up in the secondary.

Welker to Broncos is a done deal. Finally that thorn in the Dolphins side is gone.
