it's not that i forgot, it's that it has nothing remotely to do with anything related to the current Jets organization.

Shane Lechler signed with the Texans. Maybe their special teams won't be terrible next season!

Whaaaaaaaaa? I didn't even know he was a FA. He was the Raiders best player haha. How the fuck was that guy on the market this long? He's like a top 3 punter.

Well, the Raiders are in salary cap/draft pick hell*, which is why they couldn't resign him. As to why no one picked him up, it does seem to be early in the process to burn your money on special teams guys, which says what the Texans think of all the remaining FAs out there.

*Is it just me, or is a bidding war for the #1 draft pick of 2014 to pick up a QB heating up? Between the Jets, Raiders, possibly Bills (they could be dumb enough to pick one this year), possibly Cardinals (ditto), possibly Jaguars (ditto), there are a lot of teams fighting for the #1 guy next year (barring one of them being the #1 pick, which is a real possibility for most of them).

Forget rings, all NFL championships should be considered equal. 13 in Green Bay! We're #1! /sarcasm

Bears have signed D.J. Williams and Tom Zbikowski.

I like those signings.

Bills will draft the Syracuse QB way too early and spend another 3-4 years in mediocre-land.

Its definitely trickier to make the playoffs when you dont get to play buttfumble, lolphins and the Bills 6x a year.
I love how you still hold onto this excuse, like anyone fucking cares. How do you manage to get trolled 24/7?

To be fair...the Bears would have won the AFC East by 3 games with their record last year. They also had the 6th best point differential in the league.

Uh, what? They lost two more games than the Pats. If anything it would have been the same damn thing except with two divisional losses to the Pats instead of two divisional losses to the Packers.

Tom Zbikowski.
Lets see. We cast him aside in favor of free agents no one else wanted and draftees. The Colts picked him up, now his head coach, who was previously his DC, can't even be bothered to retain him for depth at a one year vet minimum. I know they just made a splash with Landry but the Colts had a ton of cap room.

But yeah, I can see how he excites you.

No, no...he was comparing the division the Pats had to play against versus the one the Bears did. The stat was assuming you put the Bears in the Pats place against those softies.
