Ok I've got Araysar and disp down for the bet, gonna cut it off there as I end up missing pages of this thread since I end up having to go a couple days at a time where I don't keep up from lack of time and just skip to the last page.

EDIT Araysay, since you wanted all of them, you can go for $400 if you like.

Hmm, $400 if Lions dont win NFC Central. Feels like I'm walking into a trap.

Alright.

I'll give you $400 if Lions win NFC North
You give me $400 if Packers, Bears or Vikings win NFC North.

The worst defense in NFL history, a new DC whose plague of injury has decimated the defense of anyone who can rush the passer and they consider that team better than half the other teams in the league. Seriously power rankings are the stupidest fucking shit.

I can only assume you mean the Saints. If they are mediocre on defense, they're a playoff team. If they're good on defense, they're a threat to win the Superbowl. Saints were one of the best offenses in the league, without their HC, who is an offensive genius.

To say that they are not a top 15 team is the stupidest fucking shit

They aren't, that offense is good, easily top 5 if not better. That defense on the other hand is coming off the worst fucking performance in the history of the god damn NFL and the unit is in WORSE SHAPE with a new HC that has one of the most complex defenses to run and to top it off has been decimated by injuries, better hope that offense puts up 30+ points a game or they have no shot.

Id be willing to bet $100 dollars that the New Orleans Saints defense will not even manage to be mediocre. 32 teams, 16 would be mediocre so the bet would be if they manage to be ranked 16th or better. You can't win games on a consistent basis with that shit of a defense, no matter how fucking good that offense is.

Respect to Rex because being a coach is fucking hard, but his defense isn't exactly plug and play. Injuries will derail any progress made on getting their shit together. That is, more so than most other places. Hell, last year he was forced to scale things back and still had problems due to the sheer number of injuries he had to deal with. They'll probably get worse before they get better.

I have Manning in my keeper league. I benched him for Luck already this week because I can't deal with starting any Broncos this week. I'd say it wouldn't even bother me to see him go down for the year somehow if it happened in this game, but really I'd prefer the Ravens just win the game and I can use him at QB for the next 16 weeks.

Heh, have Manning as well in my one league. I also snagged Rivers in the 14th round. Not entirely sure Manning-face and Rivers-face on one team will crack the universe so guess we'll find out.

Better hope Manning's bye isn't one of Rivers' implosion games. Assuming Manning does as well as last year, no reason not to feel good about him as your starting QB.

That's the thing, he's not going to put up Rodgers/Brees numbers anymore, but he's crazy reliable. I had his brother last year, he is the opposite. Motherfucker almost gave me a heart attack many weeks.

So, my main league is...weird. It's just a 8 old neighborhood friends. When they started it years ago and did it on paper and shit they decided to say fuck tradition and went 2 QB. It's weird and changes everything. If you pick high you have to go QB right away. So it makes all the discussion and lists for normal leagues off. Fun though, and since it's the same for everyone who gives a fuck if it's not normal.

Back to the topic of this week's games: Looking forward to Thursday, obviously, and Packers/49ers. But I find I am oddly interested in the Cards/Rams game. Really curious to see what Palmer can do with Larry Fitzgerald. I feel so bad for Fitz, he's like a modern Barry Sanders over these last few years.

edit: Oh and Eagles/Skins just to see what this Chip Kelly offense will look like.

And to see which backup QB catches RG3's ligaments when they fly out of his knee, which tradition dictates will determine the next Skins starter.

Geno Smith named Jets started.... lol Sanchez.
Isn't Sanchez hurt?

How do you draw that conclusion? Speaking purely on a fantasy football level sure Brees is a monster, because the Saints throw 100 times more per season than any other team (also tons of INTs last year, but the volume over compensates for that in fantasy). Rodgers was only marginally better than Manning last year (In fact, in my Yahoo league Rodgers had 443.60 fantasy points last season, Manning had 443.55...a .05 point difference), the separation coming from the fact that Rodgers can run decently well. But if you play in a league where your QB loses points for sacks then Rodgers' high sack totals almost cancel out the running ability. Rodgers has been sacked over 30 times every year as a starter, and over FIFTY times twice. Manning has never been sacked more than 29 times in a season and only more than 20 six times in 14 years.

Rodgers and Manning were basically interchangeable last year and depending on how highly you value Wes Welker, giving the Broncos 3 very good receivers, and when you consider that Manning has had another year putting his offense in place you can't say Peyton is just consistent, he is a monster. He is a top 4 fantasy QB and you can easily argue 2nd best behind Brees, with Brady's team issues and Manning adding Welker to separate him from Rodgers.

I think it's staged. Sanchez isn't even hurt I bet but they are tired of everyone on their ass about starting someone else so he's faking an injury and banking on Geno sucking so he can come to the "rescue" and take his position back.
