In the car ill listen to the Mad Dog on Sirius.

Most sports shows are garbage.

But, he's an interesting comparison since it really was just those five seasons that were worth much. I don't think he's a lock HoF yet but as long as he doesn't drop off a cliff in the next two-three years, it will happen. I don't think HoF voters consider the surrounding team as much as raw production, TBH.

Earl Campbell is another one that had only five standout seasons and he was an easy entry.

I definitely exaggerated the "one good season" thing with OJ - It should've been "he had a very short, elite run of production".

OJ had a 5 year burst of elite production.

It goes to show you, a guy doesnt need to put 10 years on tape to get in. Longevity is obviously huge, but it really only takes 4-6 seasons of elite production to get in at the prime positions.

Well, also having the first 2k yard season...in only 14 games. Even with 2 extra games, only 7 other guys have done it since 1973.
