Yeah, this whole thing is just really confusing. And again, the 49ers hold all the leverage here.

As just a WR is he a $25 million guy tho. His value from last year was clearly not just being a WR.
So you think they should pay him less since RB is a devalued position where he will eventually get hurt?

I think the RB aspect should be off the table unless you're desperate. You really don't want a $25M player running the ball even if they're good at it.

I am going to miss shit like this.

Maiocco, who is very plugged into the 49ers, makes some good points.

His value came from his use case, now he is saying don't use me that way to any team who would have any interest in him. You are basically trading for half of his stats when you look at last year.

This offseason is making me nervous about DK and his future with the Seahawks. Hes basically the face of the franchise now.

Is he saying don't use him that way or don't pay him as the RB half only? I really don't know.

Yeah...Pay him. Why even consider not paying him?

In fact, Samuel's agent is Tory Dandy, who also represents Tennessee's A.J. Brown and Seattle's DK Metcalf, two of the other wideouts who are set for paydays. Washington's Terry McLaurin is another wideout primed for a big deal.

However, Samuel might be the most unique player in that group. He earned All-Pro honors last season after leading the league with 18.2 yards per catch and 6.2 yards per carry while scoring a combined 14 touchdowns. His 1,770 yards from scrimmage ranked third in the league. He also rushed for eight touchdowns -- an NFL single-season record for a receiver -- and became the first receiver since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to lead his team in rushing touchdowns.

As linked above, I think the 49ers do want to pay him. He is the one that has stepped away.

At this point, I think the only real thing that is verified is he asked for the trade. For the rest it depends on who you believe. I've read it's "Don't use me that way" to "He wants to be payed the highest of any non QB player."

Him playing double duty was the big thing that made him so valuable last year so if he doesn't want that going to a new team, seems like his trade value is gonna plummet.

Valuable to fantasy players. That kind of mileage will make teams hesitant to give him a lot of guaranteed money, I bet.

Deebo did everything for the 49ers. He almost single handedly dragged them to the Super Bowl after Jimmy wet the bed by being terrible and injured and turning the ball over and Mostert got hurt again as well, and the rookie couldnt handle the entire load. Deebo stepped up did everything he could. Shouldnt be used against him.

But if he wants to go then fucking go.

Anything from Florio is garbage. I mean the "article" is poorly written, and unless I am retarded (possible, it's early) they don't even have the correct team on here.

There’s one report that caught our eye, given the presence of one of the most loaded words when it comes to potential player trades. Via Connor Hughes of TheAthletic.com, the Jets have “zero intention ” to trade Samuel.

His poor writing doesn't somehow change the external info he is linking too.

The genius Le'Veon Bell weighs in on the Deebo situation. And promptly gets wrecked.

only about halfway through this but it's a pretty entertaining (and decently accurate) watch. Although I suspect a big chunk of this may already be pretty well known.

Sounds like it has nothing to do with money, and more about how he is used. Guess he didn't like all the RB play
Called it.

It's also possible that this is all a ploy for leverage by Deebo, since he knows the 49ers hold almost all the cards. Nobody is going to pay Deebo Adam's money to be just a WR, that's not the player that he is.

If he gets traded, I think he ends up as a Jet or an Eagle. I've also heard people saying they could ship Deebo AND Jimmy G to Carolina as a package, but Carolina has 1 pick in the 1st round and then don't pick again until the 4th. That's not nearly enough draft capital, despite Jimmy losing a bunch of value.
