Damn it they sold out. I'm not much a toy a guy but I have a Jack Burton and Snake Plissken one of these.
Turns out the Ripley/Facehugger will never be in production again either once everywhere sells out.
I overslept and missed my 8am chance too.
Meh used to be great. Same guys who made Woot.com back in the day before Amazon bought them out. $5/month gets you free shipping but I haven't had VIP in a year now due to I only find something worth buying every few months now.

umm what the fuck book is this?

Aliens : Labyrinth, by S.D. Perry.

The main plot revolves around a space station with a mad scientist experimenting on xenomorphs, but his backstory is the one I described, and is pretty gruesome (though it's not a major part of the book). Meh, it's decent enough to read, grab it if it's cheap I suppose.

Is there a lot of books in the alien universe? If so, which are the good ones?

As I said earlier the effects, acting and everything else was actually pretty well done. It is just the story that we had a queen hanging out on Earth in "current" times and had been here centuries that was the only bad part. Basically story holes.
So we flew half way across the universe to find our creators and instead find the aliens of David in the future all while we had one chained up for sport on our planet since the start of after engineers death time( 0 AD ) for predator sport gaming.
Something along those lines what the hell stuff.
Hilarious thing is the overall story is more or less the same as Prometheus.

rich guy learns of aliens
rich guy wants to go learn the secrets of the aliens to beat death
rich guy assembles crack team to go investigate and tells them nothing about what theyre doing
rich guy surrounded by body guards
rich guy dies an incredibly stupid and pointless death
team of specialists acts like retards
woman saves the day

It was better than the hicktown hodown. Rebel mother Ripley aliens was better than prison aliens to me as well.

It lacked Theron in a dimple inspection suit though. Which makes Prometheus superior in that comparison.

Let me get this straight:

A crossover movie, that should have been heavily influenced by the manliest movie ever and from one of the best action movies ever, both R.... the result is a gigantic bland, generic PG13 and....it's good?
Give me a fucking break lulz

Like I said previously, I've not read many books on the subject, most of my reading was done on Xenopedia or similar-themed wikis, and I grabbed Labyrinth cheap because the premise sounded interesting. There's a lot of comic books and quite a few novels, I can't really tell you which are good reads or not however, sorry.

Don't think anyone said it was "good", just that it wasn't terrible. I do concede the PG-13 point though, that was a lame cash grab. It's a hard R universe, no need for them to pussy it up!

AVP: Requiem was not the best movie, but did have some amazing violence. I'm looking at you Mr. Cleaner Predator with the shuriken out of nowhere (3:30 mark in this clip). Way too dark (literally) of a movie though...can't see shit!

I would just buy the Aliens Omnibus'. They are like 450 page comic collections. There are also ones for Aliens v Predator.

saw this was available on kindle and downloaded a sample. amazon page sure makes it sound like a comic book anthology (what I wanted) but it's just regular books? or am I doing this wrong

There are two different omnibuses. One is the comics which are the two I linked and the other is the novel series. Just make sure it's the comic ones which those should be.

When the Dark Horse comic series first came out, I bought them. If I remember right, they took place immediately after the movie Aliens and they were far better than what was happening in the furture films.

Man, fuck the haters, I'm pumped for this. That prologue was good and Danny McBride is the shit.

Anyways, it can't be any worse than Prometheus.

Right?

RIGHT?
